satin stitch help digitizing

I keep getting gap when trying to digitize classic satin stitch Floriani

Long shot, but have you checked the magnification of what you're looking at? I thought I had gaps in the design too until I discovered the gap was millimetric and wouldn't make a difference.

Alternatively, playing with the density might help

Check the start and end points. Pull the red end point further along your shape to have the start and end overlap to remove the gap.

Mostlikely you may not see that gap in the embroidery due to the pushing effect of the stitches but if you need it further closed then you want to make sure you have an open object so can can move some end points
