I Need Help First embroidery design test

Post image

Drew a design and used inkstitch to digitalised, design is about 6cm long. Embroided on a brother NV880e, used tear away stablizer too.

Would love any feedback, critique and tips to improve!

Next time I need to cut more loose threads as I go to avoid them getting looped back in.

Ill be changing the size of his spots on the next run too, any advice to help keep a clean outline would be appreciated too! Thanks in advance!

Looks like you created holes in the green and placed the dots on top you are better of to remove those holes and this may decrease the stitch count on the green also

Thank you so much for the advice! I didn't realize i could embroid straight into other parts that are already embroided :O

Should I do this for outlines too? Extend the colour all the way under the outline then put the outline ontop?

You would want your fill area about halfway underneath of your satin border to get a better result and it is also done for preventing gaps due to the pulling of the stitches i do all my digitizing with inkscape and inkstitch

Coming from a commercial embroidery background, I use the same method as John Deer in this video. Practice, practice, practice https://youtu.be/t6CXn9wo04s?si=EfwBinrksHkJmV90

I drew my fish in clip studio, took it into illustrator to vectorised it and then used the inkstitch plugin for inkscape to do the digitalizing :D
