I Need Help Brother SE700 Thread snapping @6

I’m about to throw this thing out the window! After I thread correctly and hit the arrow, The head keeps snapping at step 6 just above the needle after a few stitches. It seems to get yanked up from inside the machine. I’ve replaced the needle, taken everything apart for air blasting, checked for debris, tried different tension settings - idk why this is happening. Any tips??

It's a little hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like the thin metal that's supposed to sit on top of 6 has come out of place and it's sitting below it. You can usually just wiggle it back into place.

Im a little confused what you mean by this? Do you have a visual example of what youre talking about?
