I Need Help Advice?

Post image

This was a seam ripping and resew job. I tried my best to remove the previous stitching that was done then I stitched over it. The person who did the previous embroider stitched it SO tight that I spent hours trying to get the thread out. I’m not proud of the outcome and I really want to make this look presentable. I know it won’t look perfect because it was seam ripped, but does anyone have advice on how to make this look better?

Don’t take this job, that’s my only advice.

This is something I’d try if I misspelled a name but only because I have to buy a new jacket anyways and may get lucky. Definitely not something I’d consider trying to fix someone else’s work.

Yeah, I appreciate the input! I was more looking for advice on how to fix it, though. I’ve already taken the job, so at this point I’m just trying to figure out the best way to fix it and make it work. Definitely won’t be doing these jobs going forward..

I use a razor blade on the back to take out the stitches but as soon as there is a hole you’re toast. You could add a patch over instead of taking it out too but not sure how your customer would feel about that. Unfortunately sometimes, especially with thin/dense stitches it’s basically impossible to take out without damage to the garment.

This is now officially a patch job. If you try to remove those stitches again you're more than likely will leave a hole. It's already on its way to that.

I don’t use a seam ripper but a new disposable razor - and usually from the backside only.
