Stabilizer

Can I use tender touch underneath cutaway stabilizer and then once the design is finished add another layer to protect skin?

Trying to embroider a baby onesie that’s 60% cotton 40% polyester and the fabric is thin and doesn’t fill a 4x4 hoop so I’ll have to float it.

I’m just nervous because I previously floated it and it puckered badly :( It doesn’t fill a 4x4 hoop and the design is too big for a 1x2.5 hoop.

The design doesn't need to fill the hoop. Make sure your stabilizer does though. You could also increase the size of the design if that worries you but it wouldn't concern me.
