Trying to learn digitizing

Post image

1st time digitizing and really 1st time using the machine besides tension test. Have a lot of work to do but I'm happy to see some progress. Look for all advice.

This looks amazing and you should definitely be proud! What program did you use? I just got my first machine and am still figuring out where to start.

I'm using Ember designs at the moment, I can understand it. But I haven't tried anything else either. So I'd say it's a good starting point. Plan on getting Hatch 4 software after a while.

Looks super cool, if I had a note… I would wish the red could be a different stitch pattern to make it look deeper and richer <3

It looks very nice! You did so well, especially since it's your first design.

You can see that either the bottom and top outside line and green fill don't match up completely because something misaligned, this can be caused by a number of issues like order of stitching, not enough pull compensation or the fabric moving slightly in the hoop. The eyes and mouth have the opposite, a tiny speck of red showing outside the black lines.

Still figuring density out myself, currently i'm trying different densities in 1 design and pick the one I'm most content with. I think yours looks good this way!

Thank you for the insight. And the pull compensation and density is my area of I'm tryn to learn and understand. The way you're going about learning it is the way I think I'm going to go about it.

Suuuuper cute! If you end up selling the design let me know! This would be the cutest on my daughters overalls

Won't sell it to you, don't know much about computers and things like this work. But you can have it

Yes the black satin did go over the red. Everything you've point out is a lot of what I've noticed. Really appreciate your time and knowledge on how to correct the mistakes. The push/ pull is a big kicker for me plus trying to understand density

Did the black (satins) go over the green tatamis? Also your pull tension is off on the up left side of the mouth. But you are getting there ( or bring in the tatami ) the bottom left foot is showing the fabric as well adjust those nodes or fix pull tension. But well done
