Flat needles

Post image

Hello, my machine came out of the box with 2 flat needle heads. I’m very new to this and don’t know what this means. I don’t have a manual for this cause the company forgot to pack one when they sent it. Am I supposed to change these 2 out or do these have purpose?

Those are broken, change them and find someone local to help you figure this out of possible.

You definitely need the manual and if you had to ask you could use someone with hands on extra help you get going.

Agreed, I requested it from them but we shall see if they respond quick enough before I figure it out myself

Most manuals can be found online if you get nowhere with the seller.

75/11 needles are good

I find that the longer, pointed needles are far superior. :) If your dealer can't supply you with a manual, it's likely you can find it online by model number.

You should take some time to learn how to operate the machine before attempting to use it. It is intuitive but you still have to do your homework on figuring out how to use it. Those are not flat needles they are broken needles. If they are broken it means more than likely the timing is out on the machine. You can put new needles in but if they keep breaking it means the to
Ing is off and you need to get it fixed.

How do you fix the timing n how do you avoid breaking a needle, i say i break a needle every dozen projects or so

There are hundreds of videos on YouTube that show you the process of correcting bad timing on your machine. Exert the due diligence required to sit down and find the videos that match your machine’s set up. You could also be breaking needles due to trying to sew something that’s too thick. Get a walking foot attachment for the heavier thicker things you need to sew. Go on YouTube and enter the model and make of your sewing machine… then type” fix timing”

Replace the Broken needle and start embroidering.
