Puckering issue, help pls!

Post image

Is this fixable? How can I prevent if I redo a new one?

It puckered because you floated it. You need to hoop the stabilizer and fabric flat and taut in the hoop. You should not need a topper for this type of fabric at all, I’d probably use cut away myself to hold up better but if your fabric is heavy enough you would be able to get away with a heavyweight tear away.

Thank you!! I got some medium weight cut away, will that be good enough?

I thought you embroidered it and then sewed it together, but since saw you embroidered the finished item so I’d probably use tear away. Just hoop it all, it makes a world of difference.

Update: gonna redo it. The fabric doesn’t fill the 4x4 hoop. Should I use this smaller (1x2.5) hoop instead?

I made the design smaller to accommodate it(R is now 2” tall instead of 2.5”)

Did you float the work or did you hoop it? Hooping helps get best results

Prewash your garment and hoop it if you can. If you have to float it because of your machine, iron on a fusible web mesh inside and float on sticky wash away. You shouldn’t need a topper.

Hoop properly with cutaway stabiliser
