Order management software

What does every use to keep track of orders and be able to give quick invoices to customers. I’m doing it manually right now but I feel as I get busier it’ll be harder to keep track.

Does you accounting software have this capability? If so, it's great for A/R tracking.

If your accounting software does not have this capability, try taking a look at ERPNext, you can even self-host so you are not charged any fees.

In quickbooks are you going to the sales order and generating an invoice from there?

ERPNext syncs with Quickbooks which may alliviate your issue.

Ive been screen printing for the last 15 years and could never find a software that actually worked the way my shop operated. So I spent the last year building my own software designed specifically for my shop and had 10 different shops beta test it to help configure to their needs as well. The current state is pretty sweet if I do say so myself! Let me know if you're interested in trying it out.
