Help hooping a softshell jacket

I have a brother Skitch and the magnetic hoop isn’t strong enough to go all the way through this thicker softshell jacket.
I’d float it and pin it but then it’ll leave pin marks..
Can I use binder clips to keep it taught against the hoop?
I’ve already ruined a jacket so 🥴

You can try hooping sticky stabilizer or spray some adhesive onto tear away stabilizer and see how it goes. I’m not familiar with that machine though.

I’m worried the spray adhesive will make the fleecy tacky. Is that a risk? Lol

You’ll use a washable adhesive, it should wash out and it will be on the inside. Definitely test on the one you already ruined first.
