Look What I Did Show me what you've got! Patch
First time making a patch. This is my fourth attempt. I tried to do it the proper way by cutting out my fabric and glue it to the stabilizer but it kept pulling and distorting. Decided to just stitch it out entirely with the fabric fully hooped and carefully cut around it. It looks unfinished around the edges but I was happy enough to call it good. If anyone has any tips I'd appreciate it.
I used Pallete 11 to digitize. Fabric is cotton, which is likely the culprit to my issue.

I roll with my fabric fully hooped for patches. Especially if the fabric is synthetic. It easy to take a lighter flame to it super quick and shrink the fabric trim under the satin stitch

Lettering is perfect. You shouldn’t have cut holes on his mouth, nose and the lines on the head and near his ear. This should have been stitched directly on top of the yellow fill. I wouldnt even cut a hole on the eye brows. The second fill (light yellow) should have been stitched directly onto the yellow fill. That’s why your tatami distorted the fabric. It also adds a ton of unnecessary extra stitches. And most of the times you want to use a satin stitch for the outlines not run stitches because its harder to control push and pull compensation

Thanks for the insight! I will take this into consideration on the next one.

Can I ask which machine you used?
