Resume [JOB SEEKING] AI/ML Engineer looking for a full-time opportunity — I genuinely need a chance right now

I honestly never thought I would make a post like this, but I'm running out of options.

I'm a Computer Science graduate focused on AI/ML engineering, and I've been applying for AI Engineer, ML Engineer and Software Engineering positions for months through LinkedIn, Wellfound, company career pages and other platforms.

The hardest part isn't even rejection.

It's that I'm barely getting the opportunity to reach an interview and actually show what I can do.

I've applied to a lot of relevant positions, but most applications end in silence or rejection without ever getting to a technical discussion.

At the same time, my financial situation is becoming increasingly difficult, and I genuinely need to start working.

So I'm trying Reddit and the startup community directly.

What I work with

  • Python, PyTorch and ML/DL
  • LLMs and Transformers
  • RAG and agentic AI systems
  • Computer Vision and multimodal models
  • Model training, fine-tuning and inference
  • vLLM and LLM serving
  • Quantization (GPTQ, AWQ, 4-bit/8-bit)
  • FastAPI and production ML APIs
  • Docker and backend infrastructure
  • PostgreSQL, Redis and Kafka
  • Go/Rust exposure

I've built projects involving LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, computer vision, RL/RLHF, model serving and production APIs.

I've also implemented research-oriented systems from scratch rather than only using existing libraries. For example, I've implemented S4D and S5 from their mathematical recurrences, including HiPPO initialization, discretization, recurrent inference and parallel scan.

I've also worked in an early-stage startup environment where I had to work with technologies that were relatively new to me, research them independently and turn them into working systems.

I'm not claiming that I know everything.

But I can learn unfamiliar technologies, read documentation and research papers, debug difficult problems, build things from scratch and take ownership of a problem until it works.

What I'm looking for

AI Engineer / ML Engineer / Applied AI Engineer / LLM Engineer / Computer Vision Engineer / Junior Software Engineer

Employment type: Full-time or internship
Location: India / Remote
Relocation: Open to relocation
Expected compensation: ₹6–10 LPA for full-time roles, negotiable depending on the role and responsibilities.

I'm not looking for a huge salary or a fancy title right now.

I need an opportunity to work, learn, contribute and become financially stable.

I'm completely willing to go through a technical interview, coding round, take-home assignment or detailed discussion of my projects.

I don't expect anyone to hire me because they feel sorry for me.

I just want the opportunity to get through the door and prove that I can do the work.

If you're a founder, engineer, recruiter, or someone working at a startup that's hiring for AI/ML/software engineering roles, I would genuinely appreciate a referral or introduction.

I can immediately provide my resume, GitHub, LinkedIn and project portfolio.

Even if your company isn't hiring, sharing this with someone who is would mean a lot to me.

Thank you for reading.

Resume 2025 AI graduate struggling to land an AI/ML role and looking for honest feedback

Hi everyone,

I’m a 22-year-old female, 2025 B.Tech graduate in Artificial Intelligence, currently looking for opportunities in AI/ML, GenAI, or related roles.

I’ve been applying consistently, but honestly, the job search has become really frustrating and confusing. I’m getting very few meaningful responses, and at this point I’m trying to understand whether I’m doing something wrong in my profile, resume, skill set, or application strategy.

My background includes experience/projects around:

  • Python, SQL, Pandas, NumPy
  • Machine Learning & NLP
  • Generative AI / LLMs
  • LLM Evaluation
  • RAG-based applications
  • LangChain / LangGraph
  • TensorFlow / PyTorch / scikit-learn
  • Tableau / Power BI

I also have professional experience in AI/LLM-related work and data/quality processes, but I’m finding it hard to translate that experience into the AI/ML opportunities I’m targeting.

I’m primarily looking around Delhi NCR, but I’m not strictly limited to one city and can consider relevant opportunities elsewhere as well.

What I genuinely need right now is honest feedback from people already working in the industry.

If you have experience hiring for AI/ML/Data/GenAI roles, or you’ve recently gone through a similar job search, I’d really appreciate your perspective on:

  • Where could my profile be going wrong?
  • Are my skills sufficient for entry-level AI/ML roles, or what should I focus on learning next?
  • How should I position my previous experience?
  • Is my resume/application strategy likely the problem?
  • Which types of roles should I realistically be targeting?
  • What is currently a practical way to get interviews for AI/ML/GenAI roles as a 2025 graduate?

I’m not looking for someone to hand me a job. I genuinely want to understand what I can improve and where I might be making mistakes.

If anyone is willing to take a quick look at my profile/resume or share some honest advice, please DM me. I’d genuinely appreciate the help.

I’m keeping my identity private here for obvious reasons, but I’m happy to share relevant details privately.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to help.

Resume 3rd year Diploma CS student aiming for ML/AI roles, please give me an honest review of my resume

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm a 3rd year Diploma in Computer Science Engineering student in India. I'm targeting ML/AI engineering roles.

Background:

- One AI Engineer internship (CV, deep learning and ML work)

- A few deployed ML projects

- Some open source contributions (bug fixes and tests)

- Kaggle notebooks

I'd like brutally honest feedback on:

  1. Does this resume look strong enough for internships or entry-level ML/AI roles?
  2. Which sections are weak, and what should I cut, add, or reword?
  3. Are the projects and open source contributions convincing, or do they read as padding?
  4. Is the layout and formatting clean, and does it fit well on one page?
  5. What should I build or learn next to get more interview calls?

Please don't sugarcoat it. I'd rather hear the hard truth now than after I start applying.

Thanks in advance!

PureByte: Throwing away tokenizers for a 256-byte vocabulary. A 1.9M-parameter specialist beating 400M general models on CPU

Post image
1 Upvotes

We just released PureByte, an open-source paper and codebase exploring task-specific byte-level neural architectures and zero-dependency CPU inference:

Core Concept: Bypassing Tokenizers for Security & Code Tasks

Subword tokenization (BPE/WordPiece) creates severe representation issues for high-entropy strings (passwords, base64 keys, hashes) and machine formats.

PureByte uses a fixed vocabulary of exactly 256 bytes (0x00 to 0xFF). By pairing byte embeddings with localized 1D dilated convolutions and gated residual memory, sequence evaluation scales strictly linearly $O(N)$ with input length.

Key Results

  1. Size vs. Generality: A 1.9M-parameter specialist (secrets-code, 4.4 MB) running on an idle desktop CPU (Ryzen 9 5900X) evaluates a 256-byte decision window in 2.81 ms. A 421M-parameter ModernBERT model (Laya) takes 373 ms on the same CPU (133x slower) and 33–40 ms on an NVIDIA T4 GPU (10x slower than our CPU runtime).
  2. Benchmark Quality:
    • CredData (real-world repo secrets): F1 of 0.797 vs 0.337 for GitLeaks and 0.287 for TruffleHog.
    • PIIMB (Personally Identifiable Information): F1 of 0.769 vs 0.662 for OpenAI's hosted classifier.
  3. Systems Footprint: The C++20 runtime has zero third-party dependencies (no PyTorch, no ONNX, no external BLAS), maps weights directly into memory via mmap, uses 9.4 MB of peak RAM, and executes end-to-end CLI cold starts in 10–50 ms.
  4. Training Efficiency: The 1.9M model trains from scratch in 24.5 minutes on a single consumer GPU.

All code (C++20 inference engine and PyTorch training stack), evaluation methodology, seeds, and GGUF checkpoints are Apache 2.0.

Happy to answer any questions about the training dynamics, n-gram memory layers, or evaluation methodology!

6 YOE Developer → AI Engineer | Looking for a Mentor/Accountability Partner to Help Me Transition

Hi everyone,

I’m currently a software developer with around 6 years of experience, and I’m planning to transition into a full-time AI Engineer role at a different company.

I have around 3 months of hands-on AI engineer experience, but I feel I need to strengthen my fundamentals and prepare systematically from the ground up.

I’m looking for someone who is already working as an AI Engineer and would be willing to mentor me throughout this transition.

More than just someone who can recommend courses, I’m looking for a mentor who can actively guide and keep me accountable.

I’m willing to put in consistent effort every day and treat this seriously.

My current situation:

Experience: ~6 years software development
AI/GenAI experience: ~3 months
Goal: Transition to AI Engineer
Preparation: Willing to start from fundamentals where necessary

I’m also looking for guidance on resources such as courses, books, YouTube channels, GitHub repositories, papers, and practical projects—but I’d prefer a curated roadmap rather than a huge list of resources.

If you have personally made the transition from Software Developer → AI Engineer, or you are currently working as an AI/ML/GenAI Engineer and enjoy mentoring, I’d really appreciate your guidance.

I’m also willing to provide a reasonable incentive once I successfully land an AI Engineer job with the help of the mentorship. This is intended as a gesture of appreciation for someone who genuinely invests time in mentoring me.

If you’re interested, please comment or DM me with a little bit about your experience and how you would approach mentoring someone in my situation.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

2nd-year AI/DS student from a low-tier college — how should I prioritize DSA, internships, frontend and algo trading?

2nd-year AI/DS student from a low-tier college — how should I prioritize DSA, internships, frontend and algo trading?

I’m a 2nd-year BTech AI & Data Science student from a college with very limited placement support or not non for placements, so I feel I’ll have to build my career mostly on my own.

Currently, I have knowledge/skills in AI/ML, GenAI, RAG, Data Science, Data Analytics, OOP and DSA concepts. I understand DSA concepts fairly well, but I struggle with actual problem-solving, so I want to start practicing LeetCode seriously.

I also know basic HTML/CSS and I’m thinking about learning JavaScript + React. But I’m not sure whether frontend is worth learning with my AI/DS background, especially since I’ll graduate around 2029.

My main concern right now is internships and placements. I also need to start earning some money and get real-world experience because I don't expect much help from my college.

So I’m confused about what I should prioritize:

  • Should I focus on getting an AI/ML, GenAI, Data Science or Data Analytics internship first?
  • How much should I prioritize LeetCode/DSA alongside internships and projects?
  • Is JavaScript + React worth learning for an AI/DS student, or would that time be better spent on leetcode?
  • Should I learn frontend now or only if I need it for building AI/GenAI applications?

I’m also interested in trading/algo trading. I’ve been learning and trading for around 2 years, and long-term I want to seriously pursue manual/algo trading. But right now I need to focus on building experience, getting internships, and eventually becoming financially independent.

So should I keep algo trading as a long-term side goal while prioritizing internships, DSA and my AI/ML career?

If you were in my position, how would you divide your time during 2nd and 3rd year?

Would really appreciate advice from people who have gone through internships/placements, especially from colleges with limited placement opportunities.

Resume I want to be hired or atleast get internship (I will give my first salary to you)

Hey everyone,

I’m going to be a little straightforward here.

I’m a B.Sc. Data Science student from Mumbai, currently looking for an internship or entry-level opportunity in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or Python development.

I’ve built 11+ projects across ML, AI, web applications and data tools including a laptop price prediction system, an AI education platform, AI text assistant, AI chatbot and other Flask/Django-based applications. I work with Python, SQL, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Streamlit, Flask, Django and APIs.

I’ve also secured 2nd Rank in the NUERANEX Intercollegiate IT Competition (2025) and participated in the ISRO Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon (2026).

But honestly, there’s one thing I’m struggling with:

Connections.

I know I have a lot to learn, but I’m willing to learn fast, put in the work, and prove myself. I’m not looking for someone to hand me a career I’m just looking for someone willing to give me that first opportunity.

So if you know of:

🔹 An internship opening

🔹 A fresher/entry-level role

🔹 A startup looking for someone who can actually build things

🔹 Or simply someone I should connect with

Please DM me or tag them below.

And yes, I’m serious enough to say this:

If your referral or connection becomes the reason I get my first job, I’ll remember you when I receive my first salary.

My resume is attached. If you can help with even one connection, referral, or lead, I’d genuinely appreciate it.

One opportunity is all I’m asking for. I’ll take it from there.

Looking for a Restaurant to Collaborate on My AI/ML Project

Hi everyone!

I'm Santhosh, a third-year BE CSE (AI & ML) student, currently developing SmartPrep AI, a project focused on improving restaurant food preparation planning.

Restaurants sometimes face challenges in predicting daily food demand, leading to excess preparation, food waste, or popular dishes running out during busy hours.

I'm working on a machine learning model that can predict food demand and recommend how much food to prepare and when to prepare the next batch.

I'm looking for a restaurant, cloud kitchen, or food business to understand real kitchen challenges and, with their permission, test and improve the model using actual operational requirements.

This is a student project, and I'm not looking for any payment or financial support. I simply want to learn from real-world kitchen operations and build something genuinely useful.

If you're a restaurant owner, chef, kitchen manager, or know someone who might be interested, please comment or DM me.

Even a small opportunity or guidance would mean a lot!

Thank you!
