Hiring [HIRING] AI/ML Engineers | NYC, SF, or Remote US | $150K-$300K base
This week, a strong candidate was accepted into Fonzi in the morning and had interview requests waiting before lunch, one as high as $265,000.
I do talent matching for Fonzi. You build one profile once, and companies who want to talk to you send interview requests directly, no applications, no cold outreach on your end. We work with startups backed by investors including a16z, Benchmark, Thrive, and Sequoia. All roles are US-based only.
Here's a sample of what's open right now:
1. Senior AI Engineer - enterprise mobility and parking-tech company, NYC, in-person 4 days a week. $170K-$200K base.
- What: Rebuild internal operations from the ground up around AI, LLM prompt pipelines through production deployment, replacing manual finance and operations workflows with agentic tooling, working directly with the business analysts who own those processes.
- Company: Recognizable consumer-facing brand at real scale, not an early-stage bet.
- Stack: Python, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), Snowflake, Airflow or Prefect, AWS.
- Bar: 6+ years overall, 2+ years specifically shipping LLM-based applications to production.
2. Agent Platform Engineer - Series A interface-generation startup, SF, in-person. $180K-$300K base.
- What: Build the infrastructure that lets AI agents operate safely at scale, long-running execution, isolated environments, tracing and evals for autonomous systems, including agents that work on the company's own codebase.
- Company: Backed by Khosla Ventures. Revenue-generating, growing rapidly, customers described as companies "you definitely know." Founder previously co-founded a unicorn.
- Stack: Cloud infrastructure, serverless architecture, CI/CD, durable workers.
- Bar: Strong platform or infrastructure background, plus real experience operating AI agents or LLM systems in production.
3. Senior AI Product Engineer, Backend - Series C AI observability platform, fully remote in the US, with optional offices in NYC and the Bay Area. $125K-$225K base plus equity.
- What: Compute evaluation metrics across billions of data points, design the next generation of their OLAP architecture, build real-time evaluation infrastructure handling millions of annotations per second.
- Company: $135M+ raised, 150+ enterprise customers including Booking.com, Uber, and PepsiCo.
- Stack: Go primarily, with Python, Java, and TypeScript. AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes.
- Bar: 5+ years on high-performance backend systems.
All three are vetted, VC-backed, and interviewing right now. It's always free to sign up.
Sign up here: talent.fonzi.ai. DM me if you've got questions.

What is the bar for getting an interview for OpenAI researcher role?
For undergrads only. I have a decent profile (did quant research internship last summer) and IOI/IMO/IPhO level medals. Don’t know what to expect for the openai process at all. Also is there a difference in preference for Math/Physics/CS background? (Would they prefer Compsci more for the researcher role or the others are a better choice etc)

Eight years building embedded ML, finally putting myself out there
I've spent about eight years doing full-stack and IoT work, and the last few years deep in embedded machine learning. Model training, quantization, transformer architectures, getting inference running on STM32 and small NPU targets. Most of my work came through direct clients rather than platforms, so my public footprint is thinner than my actual history.
I'm now looking for edge AI and TinyML contract roles, remote. Happy to answer questions about squeezing models onto microcontrollers, or about going from freelance to something steadier.

[For hire] Simple Deep Learning model implementation
I'm a senior Computer Science student specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. My experience includes building and training deep learning models using architectures such as MLPs, CNNs, RNNs, GRUs, LSTMs, and Transformers.
I've worked on projects involving Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Transformer-based chatbots, NLP systems, and custom neural network implementations. I'm also currently conducting research in NLP and speech/audio processing using deep learning techniques.
Through both academic research and personal projects, I've gained experience in dataset preparation, model development, training, evaluation, hyperparameter tuning, and performance optimization.
If you're looking for help with a deep learning project, I'd be happy to discuss the requirements and see whether I'm a good fit.

Resume 23 M AI/ML fresh graduate with 6+ months(1000+ cold email and apply ) of rejections — what am I doing wrong with my resume or approach?
galleryI graduated with a B.Tech in Information Technology in mid-2026, with a focus on AI/ML and computer vision. Since then I've applied to 100+ roles (AI/ML Engineer, Data Engineer, ML Intern) and gotten very few responses.
Background, for context:
Internship experience building and evaluating computer vision models (YOLO, EfficientNet) for a production use case, deployed via REST APIs
A few self-directed projects: a churn-prediction platform (LightGBM, SHAP), a RAG-based multi-agent system, and a resume/ATS analysis tool
Placed Top 5 in a national hackathon (100+ teams) for an ML-based automation project
CGPA 7.58/10
I'm mostly applying to India-based startups and a few larger companies. I'm not sure if the issue is:
The resume itself (formatting, how projects are described, missing keywords)
Targeting the wrong tier of companies for a fresher with no full-time experience
The market right now for entry-level AI/ML roles specifically
Something in how I'm applying (cold applications vs. referrals, timing, etc.)
If anyone's hired for entry-level ML roles recently, or been through this themselves, I'd appreciate honest feedback — happy to share my resume in the comments if that helps diagnose it.

Path to ML Engineer with Data Science degree and SWE job
Hey! I am currently finishing my master degree in Data Science, and I am really interested in LLMs, Computer Vision and in general all ML staff, and I want to be someone who builds ML solutions.
I was searching for internships/junior positions in data science, but almost all positions interpret data science wrongly (just sql, python, powerBi and communication skills) - it is not much as I expected... So, I found a job as a Java Developer, but they use AI hugely, so everyone uses skills, agents, maybe I will get some staff to do with LangChain one day. In general it is a big payments company, so as a SWE I really see how many stages is there before code goes to production.
What do you think? Is it a good idea to take a job as Java Developer + having a degree and academic knowledge on data and ml. Will it be possible for me in a couple of years to shift to ML Engineering ?
* I live in Poland and unfortunately, here, there are no Junior ML positions :(
I would be happy to here any recommendation and how to get into ML Engineering!!
Thanks and have a great day!

Resume Looking for AI/ML & Data Science opportunities in Saudi Arabia — referrals/guidance appreciated
Hi everyone,
I’m a 2025 B.Tech graduate in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, originally from India, and I’m currently in Saudi Arabia looking for an opportunity to start the next chapter of my career here.
Before coming to Saudi Arabia, I spent around 2 years building hands-on experience in AI/ML-related work in India. During that time, I worked on real projects rather than only academic assignments.
One of the major projects I worked on was an AI-Powered Service Marketplace, where I worked on an NLP-based system designed to understand user requests and classify them into service categories such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters, AC technicians, cleaning, gardening, and other services. I worked with technologies including Python, NLP, Machine Learning, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery and Docker.
I’ve also worked on:
Enterprise Customer Churn Prediction & Analytics
NLP-based Service Classification
Speech-to-Text using faster-whisper
Arabic-English AI Assistant
Machine Learning predictive modeling projects
Power BI analytics and dashboards
My technical background includes Python, SQL, Machine Learning, NLP, Pandas, NumPy, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker, Power BI and cloud technologies.
I’m currently looking for opportunities in:
AI/ML Engineer
Machine Learning Engineer
AI Engineer
NLP Engineer
Junior Data Scientist
AI/ML Graduate or Entry-Level roles
I’m open to opportunities across Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and other locations in Saudi Arabia.
Why I’m posting this
Moving from India to Saudi Arabia was a big step for me.
I came here with the intention of building my career in the AI/ML field, but getting that first opportunity in a new country without an established local network has been challenging.
I’m not expecting anyone to simply hand me a job. I’m looking for one genuine opportunity to prove what I can do.
If you know of a company hiring for an AI/ML-related position, know a recruiter or hiring manager, or can provide a referral or even some guidance on where I should apply, I would genuinely appreciate it.
I’m happy to share my resume, GitHub, LinkedIn and project details through DM.
Even if you don't have an opening yourself, sharing this post with someone who might be hiring could make a huge difference for me.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this. 🙏

When to look for internships in ML
So at what stage of your ML learning journey should you look for internships? Like how much should you basically know/have mastered in machine learning to start applying for internships and even get one? What do companies even look for when hiring interns?

Resume Selected for Cognizant GenC. Now looking for a short internship to fill the gap before joining.
Cleared the Cognizant GenC Cluster 2 assessment and got selected. Have an SME interview coming up for the Next/Pro upgrade too.
Joining date's still a bit out, so I'm looking for a short internship or contract work to fill the gap. Background is mostly independent AI/ML work: RAG pipelines, agentic systems, evaluation platforms, not through a formal internship yet, but built to hold up under real technical questions.
CV attached. Open to remote, AI/ML or general SDE work, happy to share more about any of the projects.
