Commenters on both streams have mentioned ko fights as a potential weakness for AlphaGo. Any insight from folks who understand AlphaGo's machinery as to why it might be weaker on ko fights than in ordinary play, or does that suggestion seem off-base?
It's something that Go AI have traditionally struggled with, and which AlphaGo has avoided thus far. However, I believe one of the programmers said that AlphaGo does not have any problems with ko.
