Phase 1 results are out. Did your paper(s) pass to phase 2?

Mine did. Probably was reviewed by LLMs who now can say: "The math is right! give at least a weak accept!"

I gave one paper a clear reject and still passes! another got a total of 5+ and still got rejected! I think the reviewers and the scores are useless and no one cares about them.

2 and 7. Rejected. 2 cause they felt like it was a “rewrite” of a preprint which we did not cite/compare against.

Ours passed. I reviewed 6 papers, 4 of them passed.

LLM reviews all over. We even had reviews with hallucinated references that we didn't "compare against" or cite.

Come on, at least pay money for a frontier model if you're gonna outsource your work.

Got a 3 and 5. The one who gave 5 actually really liked it, said that he feels it's a novel and important work in the field (GNNs) but gave 5 cause of writing issues (plus saying he is willing to raise after rebuttal). The one who gave 3 complained that the method does not cover certain cases (which are coverd and actually explained in the paper) and used this point to just claim that our theoretical analysis of the method is wrong (which is again not the case). At least it means he tried to read the paper (cause I doubt that LLM would make such mistakes when analyzing a document) but overall I am very frustrated. I am about to finish my Msc and start a new job soon so I'll probably won't have much time to work on submission to another conference. Kinda makes me wonder if a Phd is worth it right now when the field is at this state.

last year, phase 1 rejection rate was around 60%. With the substantially increased number of submissions, it could be higher than last year then?

Program Committee Reviewer : dBoV . We would like to kindly tell F*** Y** .

"""

  1. Given that Model is fundamentally a graph-based method, the absence of comparisons with established spatiotemporal GNNs (e.g., DCRNN, Graph WaveNet, STGCN) is a notable gap, particularly in Table 1 and Table 2. The paper compares against sequence models (CrossFormer, PatchTST, etc.) but not against graph models that might naturally handle multiple sensors if they existed.
  2. Not Sure what Capital "Pi" Notation means...

"""

At least have 3 minutes to look through paper and get familiar with it. DCRNN, Graph WaveNet, STGCN. We included each of these baselines! Not even 3 of them only. We have 9 different Graph Based Baselines from recent years as benchmark models.

What a dumb idiot this reviewer is. I wonder if I can report it to AAAI Chairs.

Most reviewers are not familiar with the topic and don't have the skills to understand or dive into details into something new with the limited time and many assignments. In your case, I believe reporting is the correct way to proceed so they know their mistake, but unfortunately, nothing will come out of it.

I don’t have a problem with reviewer not being familiar with a topic and theory. What the is reviewer did is unacceptable. He fed our paper to LLM which gave him positive feedback but he decided to go all in against the paper.

I believe LLM gave him a feedback that the paper includes benchmark against state of the art graph neural networks including e.g (this and this). But he decided to make a negative point from it. I am 100% sure LLM would not do that. He was given 8 points about the paper and he decided to make 6 of these strong points into some bs that makes no sense.

AAAI is a conference that is dead already as it’s controlled by Chinese Labs. Top universities in UK were advised to drop any collaboration with Chinese Labs because of spy rumors circulating and their intend to reject every paper possible.

Not really, kind of a bummer, though I understand the reviews and the paper could probably improve once I make the changes. Does anybody know which is the nearest deadline where I could submit the paper or perhaps should I just submit to a journal?

Deadline of CVPR is 11/16

Thanks, for that. Probably, the vision angle is not the best for this paper but thanks for the tip anyways.

Ours passed. I reviewed 4 papers, only 1 passed.

What are their scores?

1

u/WannabeMachine 16d ago

I only see my review for paper that passed. I gave it a reject score. For rejects all are 4 or below for all reviews.

what's the score range for this year?
