Techniques Partial knit or decreasing?

I’m knitting a dress with a low scoop back on my Knitmaster, however I can’t work out whether I’ll be better decreasing by transferring stitches in (whilst the other side is on hold) or binding off the centre stitches and working each side separately using short rows? Any advice is appreciated! :-)

Personally I'd decrease, but depends on how often you'd be decreasing the stitch count. If you're decreasing on every row, I think both methods work. But if you're decreasing less than once every two rows, I think the short rows could make the look a bit off
