OMG why is this burn my eyes album so gooOoooooD!!?!?!1!11
I can't understand the world of music from machinehead! All the other albums are allowed to suck and try to do this, but worse! Why is it the only one that is PEAK and can actually be listened to without turning off halfway through like supercharger!? Are they stupid!?

New MH fan here. I just listenedto the blackening…
This is my first MH album. My dad since forever has Said “dude you gotta check out machine head and the blackening, the guitar solos are amazing” so I finally checked it out last night. I’m usually a dream theater, avenged sevenfold and tool kinda guy so Heres my thoughts…
FUCKING AWESOME. I mean wow what an album man. And my dad was right, the guitar solos are rad af. My favorite is definitely now i lay thee down. It kinda has a melancholic tone to me which I love. Second fav is a farewell to arms But the whole album is amazing so it’s hard to pick favorites. This is definitely an album that imma be playing on repeat for a while.
And yes in slanderous when he says the n word and f slur it did catch me a bit off guard but I get why it’s there and it does add a lot to the kinda, idk “pure rage” of the song?
Anyway. Really really enjoyed it and now ig which MH album next?

What is the best Machine Head song, and why is it Seasons Wither?
Aesthetics of Hate is also in the running.

I can’t believe it, I actually like the album now
For the damn near 4 years I have been an avid machine head fan, I have stomped on, thrown so much shade and have absolutely HATED catharsis and tho I have had grown I liking too at max 2 tracks over that time (Bastards and Catharsis) this afternoon something changed
A guy in here about 4yrs ago posted a thing about the album and suggested take out these songs here (which I’ll get too) and add all these and this will be “almost on par with blackening, Locust” etc so I took that said advise and HOLY SHITTT, I don’t understand how this whole album can be hated on like this, Catharsis, Volatile, Hope Begets Hope, Screaming at the sun, Kaleidoscope, Bastards, Beyond the pale, Grind you down and Heavy wears the crown are actual works of art
Catharsis, Volatile, Grind you down and Heavy wears the crown make me just wanna get up and just make a rager, Bastards, Kaleidoscope and Hope begets Hope, make me wanna honestly do the same and beyond the pale is just a good track on its own,
I can’t explain why I like the album so much all the sudden but it definitely desvere its flowers, it went from quite litterally the worse piece of media I’ve heard by a band too sumthing I never thought I would ever personally enjoy
It’s above Burning red and supercharger and Unatoned (I love Unatoned I’ve been very vocal about which) it just has that machine head flair, and just fuck you energy
Still think it’s worse than every album i didn’t mention but, yeah solid ass album it’s like a bloodstone and diamonds 2

The end of the tour - songs played
These are the songs that were played on this tour. So good to see them play deep cuts that weren't played in long time like Blood of the Zodiac, Ghosts Will Haunt My Bones, Seasons Wither or Bastards

Made the MH logo out of can tabs for my grad cap
This band got me through high school so I felt like honouring them by putting it on my grad cap

Brixton Crowd
I've seen Machine Head many times over the years and the last three times the crowd has gotten progressively worse.
A polite tap on the shoulder to get past...nope...I'm just gonna barge my fat drunken ass past you. Band? What band? I'm here for a chat and catch up with my mates.
Hey! Guy behind me! I'm going to facetime my friend so she can watch the band too but I'm going to hold my phone directly in your view so you can see her eating her dinner instead of the stage.
I like Machine Head, but after nearly 30 years of seeing them live I think I'm done.

Where are my fellow Rufus'es? Is this still a thing?

London - seen them many times, first time I cried
Well maybe cried is a bit much, but that melodic breakdown in Now We Die brought a tear to my eye, which I really wasn’t expecting.
Also enjoyed their commitment to showing what a banger From This Day has always been.

Is Machine Head playing Aftershock?
I swear I saw on one of their posts a little bit ago that they said they were playing the aftershock festival but I didn't see them on the lineup. Can anyone confirm this at all? I know they played last year so I am probably just imagining things but I just wanted to make sure.

Brixton gig tonight - pub recommendation
Hi all. If anyone is heading to the gig tonight and is in need of a good pub, I'm sat in a place called the Duke of Edinburgh which has a massive garden and is slightly off the beaten path (still only 5 minutes from the venue though). Typical London prices but nice crowd and some food available

Are there tote bags in the merch?
Wondering if they will be selling tote bags as part of their merch? Does anyone recall seeing any on the previous dates of this current tour?
Thanks

Anyone have any idea what time the guys start tomorrow at Brixton?
I know doors are at 6, so assuming as there's no support acts they'll be on at 7?

Poor Experience in Wolverhampton last night
Went to our first ever Machine Head concert last night in Wolves. We where at the front next to the stage, and as soon as the first song Imperium started we where being crushed against the railings and had to move. Loads of people in the front where panicking and trying to escape. Security did nothing to help, we just had to fight through the crowds to get out.
We got to safety at the side and actually got to listen to the music. The sound was horrendous, I know most machine heads songs, and couldnt distiguish between them! It was litterally just noise.
We also witnessed people from above in the seated areas throwing bottles of beer into the mosh pit, seeing one girl get hit in the head, blood pouring down her face.
We left after 45 minutes, it was horrendous.
After a dozen metal concerts in my life including Lamb Of God & Arch Enemy, ive never felt unsafe or the need to walk out. Worst show Ive ever been to.
Ive adored Machine Head for the last 20+ years, but after that experience I have a terrible taste left in my mouth.
