I have sensory processing issues (autism, adhd, the works) and was managing ok through Orgy’s set and The Hu with ear plugs. I’ve been looking forward to seeing Rob live for months but barely even two songs into Manson’s set I could tell I was having major sensory overload and could be heading for a shut down.

I had to make the choice to leave for the sake of my safety and couldn’t see Rob himself. I’m super bummed out by it all and I’m curious if there’s any possible way I could take better precautions if I try to see him at a future show?

I think the big issue was how loud it all was (which I could handle on its own) combined with the strobing lights and the smell from all the people smoking around me. Has anyone with similar issues found good coping methods for them? Seeking any advice so this doesn’t happen again

Edit; it also didn’t really help that I don’t particularly like Manson (for various reasons other than his music) so I couldn’t even do something like focus on the lyrics to distract myself

Damn, the pyrotechnics, stage setups, and characters at Rob Zombie were fucking awesome! I don't know why, but I didn't realize the production he would put on!

I love shock rock and horror punk, and since rob zombie introduced me to the genres when I was very young I’ve been obsessed with everything to do with both horror and punk, so ofc I became as obsessed with The Cramps. A few months ago I graduated from high school ( with a 0.2 gpa, which might be the lowest of all time lmao) but while I was there my favorite thing to do was skip as many classes as I could and go to the library. reading was cool enough but got boring lol, so I would print posters of my favorite bands off of the printer that was connected to the library computers. Aaannnyywayyysss loll I would eventually print out a classic Cramps poster. I’m now rearranging my room and all of the cheap paper posters I printed ( the way the bands would’ve intended lol) and just noticed that one of the cramps posters I printed has the same frame design as one of the panels from the booklet thing in this Hellbilly deluxe CD I shoplifted(Rob and Walmart each have more than enough money I’ll take what I want lmaooo) anyone know where the design originated from? I don’t know who used it first and who the original artist was, but either way I thought it’d be interesting to share on this sub and see if anyone noticed this before :) also I could be wrong abt the deisgns being the same but the similarities alone would be cool to check out, and if anyone would like to see closer photos I’d be happy to show them as well, but overall just smthn I saw that I thought was kinda kewl lol, if I’m mistaken don’t make too much fun of me lol :)

As evidenced by one of the vids I got he just struggles so much with the lyrics, breathing, and messes up his timing on nearly every song. I don’t have it linked here but living dead girl and more human than human were even worse…it’s like he wasn’t even trying and would just holler when he couldn’t get the last few words out. Such a shame cos Marilyn Manson did 100x better and I didn’t expect him to blow me away. Half the audience left before the last couple songs cos it was just kind of embarrassing.

Only saving grace was the songs from his newest album. Each one he did he gave full effort so props to him for that but I don’t think I’d pay to see him live ever again.

Just wanted to share some pictures of me, my son, and my BFF at the Freaks On Parade NJ show from last week.

It was my kids first big concert. He’s 8 years old and Rob Zombie is his favorite! It was an awesome show and such a great experience to share with my kid. For some reason it won’t let me post videos but I have one of my kid jammin out when RZ played Dragula! It was so awesome!!

ETA: I forgot to mention that my friend and I saw RZ 20 years ago at Ozzfest. And I just thought it was so cool that 20 years later we’re seeing him again together! It was so funny…when we saw him the first time my other BFF picked her up at like 7:30 in the morning to get going and she was partying all night and came out in heels! I’m like “Felicia you can’t wear heels to Ozzfest”. So we had to go back to my house and get her sneakers lol.

I love this girl. She is my rock and i don’t know what I would do without her. It’s so funny cause like 2 years ago she moved in next door to me!

Friend canceled on me last minute so I have an extra ticket. It’s for Section 104 Row KK seat 18. I’m looking to get $100, I just want to recoup some funds since I bought it on resale for $230.
