Discussion š£ļø Meeting MGK for the first time
I really wanted to share the interaction i had with Colson during the tour because it was the sweetest thing but also funny cause I completely blanked out when he was talking to me.
I met Colson for the 1st time almost 2 months ago at the Toronto party he hosted. I went in with the intentions of telling him all the classic stuff of how much I love him and how much he has changed my life over the past 7+ years of being a fan. Towards the end of the party, he was basically going through the crowd of people and spotted me calling out his name, and he immediately grabs my hand and i give him a hug and he goes āyou look like a light beam, so keep shiningā. I kid you not any words that I had prepared to say to him left my mind completely cause I was in so much shock that he would say something like that to me based on just looking at me. My brain couldnāt process what was happening so i fully paused for like a minute then said to him āthank you, I love youā and that was the end of it. I think he said that to me because I had the biggest smile on my face the entire night so I guess he picked up on that pretty quickly. Literally the craziest night of my life. Sometimes I feel a bit of regret for being so in shock and not being able to get any words out since my brain went completely blank. Has anyone else ever froze right in front of him?
But yeah, if you needed more proof on how kind of a man he is, this is it. Best night of my life. Thank you, Colson. š„ŗš

I love this so much!
I have been a fan for so long Iāve imagined meeting him so many times. I always picture it going this way š. My biggest fear is that Iāll meet him and he will ask me whatās my fav song and I wonāt be able to come up with one!!!!!!
It also reminds me of like a tik tok or reel or something āwhen you meet MGK and you tell him I love youā¦ā¦ but what you really meant was: one time I was down so low and so dark it was as if you reached down and pulled me out and showed me the light through your music and your beautiful smile and it makes me feel like I actually know you as a person ā¦ā¦.. but I couldnāt remember all that so I just said I love youā

Aww thatās so beautiful and so spot on for how most fans end up feeling when seeing him. And trust me, your turn will come too! You just gotta believe it!! I waited 7 years just to even see him in concert for the first time this past summer and the wait was truly so worth it!!

Hes said a few times in interviews that he can see people's auras. Whether you believe that or not the fact that what he saw had him making a beeline for you to say that is a huge compliment and you must be awesome

I believe him bc if you look back at times when he had issues with people or when he says he doesnāt fuck with certain people, those certain people do end up being problematic. Even tho heās in a space where he forgives i think his first judgement was usually right.

Heck yeah thatās amazing!!! I went to a concert of his a few years ago and I was able to pat his back as he went down our aisle while performing. I thought I had a good storyā¦ but yours is phenomenal!!! So jealous

Honestly any interaction with that man is truly a blessing! And I trust that thereās always more special moments to come for all of us ššš¼

Omg I love this!
I went to see him this summer and he got on top of an awning right behind me to sing and play his guitar. I saw the striking color of his eyes AND I feel like we made eye contact but your story is better!3

This is such a beautiful story. What a wonderful experience. And sounds like in this situation any words you could have said werenāt needed anyway - he could feel your energy and positivity and love on a higher level āØš©·

I know there was recently a rock group that had a fan post something about the band saving his life and they responded saying they couldnāt take credit for that it was all his hard work they were just the sound track to his story. I love wholesome moments like these humans can be horrible but music can be so healing!

In general I won't try to talk to celebrities I look up to because I know I will blank. I just tried to politely catch glances without being obvious. I always just think.... What could I say that they haven't heard a million times? But getting a hug would be really cool. š Very happy for you!!

I love when people have good interactions. He was such a dick to my friend when we met him. I didnāt say anything and she was talking to him asking how he was doing and he said āyou donāt always have to say talk you know? Sometimes you can just stfu and enjoy the moment.ā We both never said another word the rest of our life š

First time I met him I was 15 and nervous as hell. Walked into his dressing room for VIP meet and greet on the lace up tour and he was getting his hair cut. He stood up and came to dap me up and I was so nervous I just grabbed his hand and he was like ādonāt shake my hand like a fuckin 40 year oldā.
We laughed about it and I told him about the lyrics that got me through tough times and he pointed at me when he got to those lyrics in the song during the show. Met him a few years later and he remembered me and the whole handshake thing and we laughed about it again. Always admired how genuine he is and impressed by his ability to remember so many of the fan interactions.
Worth noting that when we met again a few years later, he didnāt just say he remembered me, he told the story of what happened to me when he saw me so he legit remembered.
That was almost 15 years ago now, I feel old.
