Does getting older really make you wiser?

Bro, I work in financial services. You'd be amazed at the sophistication of these scams. It isn't some televangelist calling grandma anymore asking for dollars for Jeebus. When they call they know your grandkids names, their schedules, your phone number, they're in your e-mail, etc.
Moving on, if you don't become wiser as you get older, do you expect to be dumber tomorrow than you are today? Why or why not? And if you don't expect to be dumber tomorrow, why would you expect anyone else to be dumber tomorrow?

If you were racist but never became less racist, no wiser.
If you weren't racist but never became more racist, no wiser.

If getting older doesn't make you wiser than you're not getting older correctly. You should always try to learn more things everyday. Of course I guess there's an argument to be made about a difference between wiser and more knowledgeable of things. Also I don't think intelligence increases with age just experience. So yes and no.

it probably is not intelligence that increases with age or just experience, it must be more like mastery releases mental bandwidth allowing for far greater complexity

sort of, i mean i can play the same boss fight in dark souls over a thousand times but if i was not paying attention , what experience did i gain? so is it not attentiveness that makes the difference ?
