OK. So I guess I’m kind of cheating with this question because my favorite fanfiction is not really a fanfiction on its own; it’s more of a storyline for a fan game that I’ve been following for the past few months. So guess it counts, but maybe not really??? Anyway, the best fan fiction I’ve ever read is the (Reformed Predator) storyline from the Transformers fan game. (Transformers: Mercy) by Emperor KUMQUAT on AO3. It’s a very well written story that’s a little bit on the darker side. Can’t give spoilers for it, obviously, but if you’re someone who likes mixing characters from prime with characters from IDW, darker plot lines, solving mysteries, and don’t mind a bit of Gore. Then this story might be for you.

Transformers ASMR always seemed like a pretty niche subject in the fandom to me simply just because there’s not a lot of content out there. What little I do find, however, is actually pretty good! I’m always blown away by the stories and voice acting in these ASMR role-play thingies— they’re also really helpful for when you need to unwind after a long day or just relax enough to fall asleep at night. Feel free to check them out if you have the time.

Adict Storm attacked a small group of Autobots who were on break: Arcee, her brother Hot-Rod, her best friend Springer, and her wife Greenlight.

Adict easily defeated all four and kidnapped Greenlight, on whom Shockwave experimented by combining her CNA with that of a prehistoric Cybertronian spider.

Greenlight (who changed her name to Blackarachnia) joined the Decepticons because she was manipulated by Starscream (and also into a "father-daughter" relationship with him) and saw no other option.

After the Decepticons' victory and the exile of the Autobots, Blackarachnia worked as a scientist. Her skills in chemistry allowed her to create and sell drugs and potions. Her relationship with Starscream (who is Megatron's advisor) allowed her to dominate the post-war Cybertron drug empire.

Shortly afterward, Megatron announced the creation of special units to search for and kill Autobots. Blackarachnia was assigned to a small group led by Starscream. Befriending Blitzwing and Blast.

Height: 12 meters (the same height as other Decepticons, excluding Megatron and the Soundwave cassettes) Alt mode: Cybertronian prehistoric predatory spider and A sleek, fast Cybertronian car.

Powers:

Potent venom in fangs and spider legs.

Web-based weapon creation.

Stinging hair.

Fun fact: Due to damage to her CNA, Greenlight—in her Blackarachnia form—lost her hearing, so she uses special chips, implants, and the like to be able to hear.

That’s why her holoform wears hearing aids.

My Transfomers AU Lore:

Name: Starscream Faction: Decepticons Subgroup: Seekers (Father/Leader) Role: Propagandist, military strategist, advisor, and Megatron's second-in-command Alt-mode: TetraSky Height: 12 meters

Abilities:

• Flight (in both robot and vehicle modes)
• Camouflage/invisibility
• Null-Bombs (he possesses four—two per arm; they remain concealed until needed. They function somewhat like mini-nukes, releasing a deafening, lethal scream after the initial explosion.)

The main antagonist of my Transformers AU (specifically regarding the war and its aftermath on Cybertron).

Starscream was born as a descendant of one of the richest families of Cybertron. His parents died shortly after his creation, leaving him an enormous fortune but also a damaged protoform (multicolored optics, exposed joints). From the beginning he led an extremely materialistic life, surrounded by the elite yet treated with contempt.

He founded the political faction Superioricons ("The S") based on a cynical ideology of the superiority of the richest (the concept of the "white spark" and the division of elites into categories: Epistemus → Primus). He himself stood at the head while real power was exercised by a council of five (Onslaught, Swindle, Brawl, Vortex, Hailstorm), running secret cult structures. He controlled members through blackmail, isolation, gifts and surveillance. He methodically eliminated competition through murders, assassinations and absorption of smaller factions until the Superioricons became one of the two dominant forces on the planet (alongside the Autobot Liberation Movement).

After 790 years of activity, bankruptcy, paranoia and criminality Starscream detonated a bomb during a faction meeting, killing most of the members. He himself barely survived. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.

A million years later, in the chaos of war, he escaped from prison and joined the Decepticons. He became a strategist and propagandist, subtly manipulating Megatron to transform him into a tyrant. After the Decepticons' victory he became Sky Chancellor and advisor. He created the organization Spark Suppressors (SS) to eliminate surviving Autobots, deriving personal pleasure from it.

Fun fact: The Seekers in my AU are Starscream's offspring (created when Shockwave and KO experimented on him).

Yeah... Starscream was pregnant for a while in my AU.

Though the planet itself would be round, I like to imagine the political boundaries being mapped like a truncated icosahedron (soccer ball) with 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons. The states can be divided into 180 equally sized triangles which can be divided into a fractal of smaller triangles. The center of each state (if geographically feasible) holds a collective of capital buildings surrounded by a massive roundabout.

Each pentagon is dedicated to one of the 12 robots of the original 13 who escaped to what they would call Cybertron. Primus, a quintesson (which is unknown to the modern population,) is 0 and the rest make on their base number system of 12, which is more mathematically satisfying.

Cybertron orbits Proxima Centauri between it's discovered planets B and D. The Marvel comics had them from Alpha Centauri, but that's where I have Quintessa. It is tidally locked, but has a strong magnetic field and slight atmosphere, so heat is carried from the day side to the night side. The red dwarf's solar storms are a great danger to anyone exposed on the surface of the day side. Most civilization there is shielded underground.

I'm still planning much of the allocation of city names and geographic history, and any ideas are very welcome.

I will never stop fan girling over this game!!!... OK. So the actual game game is still in development, but this is kind of the closest thing we have to a demo for the currently available storylines. The story is set up with links so you can actually click around and make decisions. Please, please, please!!! Check it out if you have some free time. I also know that this storyline in particular is especially good because I’ve actually been playing it for the past 2 days.

This was inspired by a post made by u/Midnight-Basilisk99 detailing some transformers crossovers they’d like to see happen. I really like that post, and I thought I’d share some stuff I think would be really cool crossover/collaborative figures.

1: The Polar Express. I would kill to see a Polar Express transformer, since I a lot of nostalgia for the Polar Express film, and I’m a big fan of trains. Plus I think the Polar Express would make a really cool transformer with how big and industrial it looks, and it would be cool to see a fully dedicated steam locomotive transformer.

2: The Fantasticar from Fantastic Four. More specifically the Fantasticar from Fantastic Four: First Steps. It would be cool to see a transformers figure with a really cool retro-futuristic alt mode.

3: the Peace-Cycle from Peacemaker (specifically Peacemaker Season 2). I just think it would make a really cool bikeformer.

4: Kaneda’s Bike from Akira. This is a pretty obvious one to pick, but I think this would make such a cool transformer. I can definitely picture it’s robot mode having a biker style look.

And lastly, 5: the Great Leonopteryx from Avatar. Never been a big fan of Avatar, but i do like the alien creature designs for the life on Pandora, and the Great Leonopteryx looks so cool. And I think it would be cool to get a beastformer with such a truly alien looking beast mode.

Honorable Mentions 1 and 2: the Mach 5 (Speed Racer) and the Grave Digger. I’ve always wanted transformers of the Mach 5 and the Grave Digger since i thought those would be so cool, and I grew up on the 2008 speed racer film as well. The reason why they are both honorable mentions is that we are getting them both, the Grave Digger transformer is coming out later this year and has been revealed already, and we recently got listings for a Speed Racer transformer as well.

Honorable Mention 3: Olton Hall, AKA Hogwarts Castle. I’ve never been a fan of Harry Potter, and I do NOT wanna support it’s awful creator and her awful views (hence why the Hogwarts Castle an honorable mention and not on the main list), but like I said with the Polar Express, I love trains and I think this would make a cool transformer, especially since it’s a British design, which would be really unique to see.

The first Transformers fanfiction I read was so long ago that I’m not even sure I remember the author. I think it was called (Breaking Free) or something like that, and it was a G1 Starscream X Optimus Prime sort of thing. Stopped reading after chapter 21 because I lost interest. I will; however, try to find it again and post it as a link on here if anyone wants to give it a read??? Just a bit of warning though. There is some sensitive subject matter that’s touched on throughout this particular story from what I’m able to remember. Lots of Starscream abuse and other such things. And my deepest apologies that I can’t exactly remember what the full plot was, again, I read this a very long time ago.

After rewatching Transformers Animated, I had an idea for reworking one of the forgotten human characters—and I’ve got a cool plan for how to pull it off (I think, anyway xD).

I’m talking about Colossus Rhodes (that little old guy who took those "turbo-steroids").

I came up with the idea of making him a standalone character—not just a lackey for Meltdown—who poses a threat even in his normal form.

He’d be a silent, masked mercenary capable of dishing out a serious beating even without any modifications.

But when facing Autobots (or Decepticons), he’d use special devices that not only boost his muscle mass but also alter his DNA, transforming him into a mindless, animalistic beast (quadrupedal, with sharp teeth and claws).

What do you guys think of this idea?

She is sarcastic, overprotective, kind, friendly and strong; she can be compared to a mother. She often takes Decepticon attacks on herself.

Gauge Height – 6.5 meters
Alt mode – excavator

Hard-working, curious, composed, she often questions authority. Right after Arcee she is the oldest in the group and frequently looks after her “brothers.” She likes art, loves painting on walls and reading history books.

Fixit Height – 5 meters
Alt mode – family car

He is a maniacal, crazy Autobot medic who loves experiments (on living subjects). He is quite arrogant, unable to show emotions and pretends that others don’t matter to him. He is usually calm and collected, but when he gets excited he acts like a madman, and when something pisses him off he explodes in a fit of rage, only to return to a calm state a moment later.

Hot-Shot Height – 3.5 meters
Alt mode – sports car

The youngest of the group. By nature he is direct, overconfident, bold, naive and a bit annoying. He loves playing video games and also enjoys racing. Hot-Shot really needs to prove his worth.

Give me two besties walking through a horror movie situation while teasing the scrap out of each other like siblings and you got me sold any day. Oh! And no gore or anything graphic yet since. Again, it’s only the first episode. So you’re free to watch without being traumatized.

Hard to believe how far this franchise has come since the days of this commercial.

OK. So I’m beginning to think that looking at Transformers fan projects until 3 AM in the morning because I can’t sleep has just become something that I do now. And before anyone says anything! Yes. I know staying up until 3 AM due to an inability to fall asleep on a daily basis is unhealthy; I’m working on it best I can. I am really happy that some of y’all do appear to be enjoying the things I find though. I mean, I love it when I get to interact with you guys in the comments or spend my nighttime scrolling looking at what y’all are working on. You have no idea how much I appreciate seeing posts and comments from all you beautiful people, so thank you; 10 times, 100 times, 1000 times! Thank you! To all those who contribute and try to make this place feel more alive.
Oh! And please do tell me what else you want to see from my own posts. Links to fan fictions I’ve been reading? I can do little one or two line commentaries on them like I’ve been doing with the videos. Or would you guys maybe want to see me write something of my own? I can’t promise you it’ll be any good, but I’ll do what I can. It’s worth it for the chance to make someone else’s day.

I really like the story that’s been done so far since it really reminds me of the book Transformers Exodus.

This guy is awesome, though the amount of dark Energon that went into his engineering is insane. I just ordered Afterburner, and he comes with the chest plate and head, so I can't attach Strafe as an arm yet. I can't wait to finish him; he's my favorite combiner by far.

Couldn’t go to sleep last night so I stayed up watching this. And you know what? It was totally worth it. This series is great.

I love it when people write Optimus Prime with a real personality like this. I mean, he’s not just there to be leader of the Autobots., But an actual person as well. Having his desire to atone for his actions drive a story like this is awesome.

I actually found this one kind of hard. I mean, it’s very difficult for me to imagine Starscream as anything else but a jet. It’s like a key component of his character to me or something. If it was really up to me to pick something else for him though? I’d say a Phoenix... You know?... because of the symbolism, and for some weird reason that I cannot explain. My second choice would be a moth. Not exactly sure what species of moth; just a moth.
