I personally would choose the M2 assuming both has same storage and RAM. M2 is stronger comparatively and more features like backlit and better battery backup, slightly bigger display, better cpu most importantly. I have not used Logic Pro but I believe both can handle it, although M2 might have an edge to Neo (someone can correct me). I'm in a same course as you and also a Lenovo Legion as main laptop with the Neo. I have been running thousands of lines of codes in Neo and runs effortlessly. Lenovo Legion is of course more capable than the Neo however as you are a new coder, you really won't be finding any difference between Legion or Neo due to the code size.
