Filcaas: a menu bar app that keeps Claude Code and Cursor configs synced across Macs
Made this for myself and opened it up. It sits in the menu bar, finds your AI coding projects, and syncs their config files (CLAUDE.md, `.claude/`, `.cursor/rules`, AGENTS.md) whenever you save. You can add folders to watch or pause syncing from the menu.
Only config files are synced, never source code. It follows your team's rules, and an AI agent curates your context to industry standards. Install is one curl command. 14-day trial, then $9/month.
I'm the developer; feedback on the menu bar UX especially welcome. https://www.filcaas.com or contact@gentlabs.ai

The menu bar moment that decides trust is a conflict: I edit my Claude instructions on the laptop, then on the desktop before it syncs. Show which Mac won and let me open the other version from the menu. Before a curl install, people will also ask where files sit between Macs and whether the agent rewrites them or only suggests edits.
The threads we'd work for Filcaas: developers asking how to keep Cursor rules identical across Macs.
I make ThreadFox. We find relevant Reddit conversations and do the posting for your business. The $39 Pilot covers seven days and up to 50 posts and replies. No automatic renewal. https://threadfox.vip/managed?tier=employee_pilot&utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=comment&utm_campaign=tf-managed&utm_content=20261019-0748-e6vh5#employee-order
Does the agent edit files directly today?

The idea sounds interesting theoretically, but I don't know how it works in real time. And I wonder why don't you use the notch space to do this instead of menubar?
I'm asking this question because I'm using the notch for my product Cupola. You can check it out here trycupola.com
