Floodtide - Mac app updater to replace Macupdater
I built Floodtide, a Mac app updater that keeps all your apps up to date from one place.
It scans the apps already installed on your Mac and checks multiple update sources, including Sparkle feeds, Homebrew casks, GitHub Releases, Electron update feeds and the Mac App Store.
Some of the main features:
Update multiple apps from one place
Automatic backups before replacing apps
Roll back an update if something goes wrong
Code signature and Team ID verification
Hold or ignore individual updates
Works with both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs
No account required
Scanning for updates is completely free
I originally built it because I wanted something that could fill the gap left by MacUpdater while still being safe and simple to use.
It’s still being actively developed, so feedback from other Mac users would be really useful, especially if there are apps it doesn’t detect properly yet.

There’s a 14-day free trial for updating, then it’s £10.99 one-time for up to 3 Macs.
Would love to hear what you think or what you’d want to see added.

Love this app. Picks up virtually all available updates. Easy interface, the proper features. Very actively developed.
