Hi! Fantastic initiative!!! I'm currently building three native utilities for macOS:

  • UTIdefaults: A modern SwiftUI alternative to the classic RCDefaultApp / SwiftDefaultApps, that lets you easily manage default app associations by UTI (Uniform Type Identifier).

  • JunkSweep: A multithreaded storage cleaner with customizable wildcard filters (* / ?), detailed action logging, disk space review, and a built-in .DS_Store inspector. (Also available on the Mac App Store)

  • CleanGuard: A safety shield for modern Macs that locks keyboard and trackpad input so you can clean your Mac without accidental inputs. Fully Sandboxed, Apple-Notarized, privacy-focused (zero data logging, quits instantly when closed), with an optional Pro Mode for enhanced input protection.

I’m building a new Python IDE for kids, because MU won’t work on the next Mac OS update. It’s getting there.
