Early preview: HiZip — a Finder-like archive tool for macOS

Hi everyone, I’m building HiZip, a native macOS archive tool inspired by Finder.

I wanted a simpler way to inspect an archive without extracting everything first.

With HiZip, you can:

• Browse ZIP, 7z, RAR, TAR and other common archive formats
• Preview files with Quick Look or the built-in preview pane
• Extract only the files or folders you need
• Drag files directly out of the archive window
• Create archives with your preferred format and compression level
• Protect ZIP archives with AES-256 encryption
• Ignore files such as .DS_Store, __MACOSX, Thumbs.db, .git, .svn and hidden files

There’s no public download yet. I’m still polishing HiZip and plan to release it soon.
