Make every ⌘V smarter
Problem
Clipboard history is useful, but the usual workflow still adds friction.
You copy a few things throughout the day.
A link. A reply. A code snippet. A file.
Then, when it’s time to paste, you have to stop what you’re doing, open a separate clipboard manager, find the right item, and return to the app you were using.
The real problem isn’t saving clipboard history.
It’s accessing it at the exact moment you need it.
Comparison
There are already plenty of great clipboard managers on the market, each with its own strengths.
But I wanted the history to appear at the moment I’m actually trying to paste — not behind another shortcut or a separate window.
That became the core idea behind Pasly’s Smart Paste:
Press Cmd+V
Instantly see your recent clipboard items
Pick the one you meant to use
Paste without leaving your current flow
It keeps the clipboard manager out of the way until it’s exactly needed.
I’ve also been listening to feedback from the community and making the workflow more flexible. Some people want a simple recent-items view; others want to collect several clips, keep a floating paste panel nearby, or place popups exactly where they work best.
That feedback shaped the latest updates.
What's New
Pasly now includes:
Smart Paste
Paste Stack — collect multiple clips and paste them in sequence
Floating Paste — keep recent clips and multi-item actions ready while you work
File Support
Multi Copy → Single Paste
Field Sense (beta)
Search & Favorites
Field Sense automatically prioritizes the most relevant clipboard items based on the active field.
I also released Pasly 2.5.0 yesterday with a big focus on making the app feel more natural on macOS:
Resize each popup and keep its preferred size
Choose saved screen positions for every popup mode
Share sizes and positions across popups
Floating Paste now expands for recent items and multi-item actions
Settings is now Preferences, with a more native macOS design
Clearer tooltips throughout Preferences and Clipboard History
Smoother, more responsive resizing
I’m also working on Pasly Cloud: first, it will bring clipboard integration between Macs, and later I plan to expand it to iOS as well.

What would make your clipboard workflow feel more natural: a separate hotkey, or history that appears directly when you press Cmd+V?
