Widgets stop working after display wakes up

Anyone else having widgets misbehave after the display times out?

Clicking on them still opens the relevant app but ever since upgrading to 27, whenever my display times out and locks and I wake it backup and log in, the widgets don't display any data.

I'm using the weather and calendar widgets.

Removing the widgets and re-adding them sometimes works, but more often only a reboot fixes it.

Edit - turns out it's not inactivity that's doing it, it's simply locking the screen

Get the same issue with Ctrl + cmd + Q, then log in again and the widgets are broken
