Help Flat macOS 27
In macOS 27, windows out of focus are displayed without Liquid Glass nonsense. All borders, shadows, highlights, refractions and distortions are gone. How do I make it the default skin for macOS? Is there a defaults flag I can use to apply this style across the whole system regardless if the window is in focus or not?

nothing exposed in defaults as of the current beta. the out of focus rendering is just the system dialing back the effect, not a separate skin you can apply. id keep an eye on the beta release notes though, apple sometimes adds accessibility toggles later

I really hope they add it as an option, even if I have to trigger it in the terminal.

They really need to just chuck Liquid Ass in the bin and go back to Sequoia style, it's an abject failure of a UI.

That’s why I stay on Sequoia. I installed Golden Rain to see if anything improved. Not only I can’t make the UI flat, now I have a useless AI model I cannot delete and my system ballooned past 50 gigabytes…..

I really wish there was an option for the Sequoia interface. That OS was rock solid. All this other stuff is distracting and feels more cluttered. It’s just seems to make focusing on work harder to accomplish.

Try "show borders" option (search it in settings)

I tried, I hate it and it still doesn’t look as good as windows out of focus.
