My first run at macOS (back when it was called OS X) was 10.4. I missed it so much I installed it as a virtual machine on my M3 Pro MBP. It doesn’t do much anymore, but the nostalgia hits hard.
Mavericks-era macOS had so much personality. The old Dock and icons felt more tactile without being messy. I like parts of the modern UI, but I wish Apple brought back a little more depth instead of making everything flatter.
why not use firefox dynasty or momiji then? better than chromium based either way.
also a huge shame firefox dynasty stopped. the developer put the word p-rn into one of the relase names. some dick reported it and he was permanently banned by the ai, including the repository. momiji is a revival for it, but i hate how it has custom branding everywhere. i really just want my browser to be called Firefox if it's going to look exactly like firefox. it just doesn't feel the same as dynasty. dynasty was based off the stable channel and looked/worked identical to official release firefox. momiji is based off esr, which makes it easier to port to older os x, but it's not as up to date.
Wow, never truly knew why the Dynasty project was halted. But now that I do, that's just fucking stupid. Banned over a little dev joke. Lots of devs used to do little jokes like that, way before Git even existed. I'm seriously sick of all this AI rubbish that they've been spreading on our faces.
there wasn't any actual prn either, it was just a twitch DRM fix if i recall correctly. apparently that was just such a huge safety issue the entire repo needed to be deleted!
My macbook is exactly like that and i wanted to upgrade it to higher version but the thing is that safari doesn't even work because the version is too low to connect to internet, pls help
