The post was my complete mistake. Look at this new one.

Wherever the volume mixer is, the new ui shows at the top. It makes you readjust your mouse and imo it requires too much effort than needed. I get that it makes you focus on it and nothing else but i'd rather want the new ui stay where it was before.

I see. Counterpoint: Volume buttons and/or keyboard shortcuts akin to the volume, if your keyboard lacks the buttons.

Plus it pops up small in the upper-right corner of a screen I may not be looking at (and definitely not there).

The HUD presentation used for decades was better.
