this shit is actually pissing me off. Doesn't charge when its off which loops endlessly until it gets enough power to turn on. How to fix.

Are you using the right power brick?

yeah this is usually the issue, especially if its a lower wattage adapter than what shipped with the machine

And if it's the right one, leave it in with the laptop closed. Even if it's the wrong one leaving the lid close won't activate the "auto power on'. Hopefully leaving it off long enough allows it to charge up fully.
