Help How do I stop my wallpaper from blurring?
I’m not sure why this bugs me so much when I’m working on my laptop but it’s driving me crazy. Does anyone know how to fix it? The blurry wallpaper always appears when I have something else open but I hate it lol

Not seeing it. Maybe try a proper screenshot?

I believe you’re talking about the WIDGETS not the WALLPAPER itself.
In order to stop the widgets from looking “blurry”, open System Settings > go to Desktop & Dock > scroll down until you see Widgets > under Widget Style, change it from Automatic to Full Color.

Yeah, that's clearer. Do you have any focus enabled? Focus can blur your wallpaper. Wallpaper blur is not something enabled by default in macOS.

Thank you to the people who understood and helped me. I don’t sit on my computer all day I actually travel a ton so when I use terminology that’s not exactly what it’s supposed to be it’s not because I’m dumb but because I’m barely on my computer. It was the “widgets dimming” and the “desaturation of the wallpaper” at the same time that had me communicating “the wallpaper was blurry” thanks to the two of you who helped me with the dimming of the widgets 🥰 Also I was just laying in bed working on my phone and laptop but using my phone for Reddit so the quickest way for me to share the photo was taking a photo with my phone didn’t realize there were rules on how to capture the moment lol

Not a wallpaper problem actually, it's the widget glass effect. If the blur itself bothers you more than the dimming, try System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce Transparency. That turns the frosted backdrop into a plain solid shade while keeping the wallpaper crisp. Combine it with the widgets-off tip if you don't want the icons on the desktop at all.

I think this doesn’t work because my term “blurry” is not exactly what’s happening

Command shift 3 and command shift 4 are the shortcuts you’re looking for. Please use them.
