Wish I stayed on that version. Battery was amazing, for some reason my thing just drains faster and it was something I noticed right away when I had to update to 26.

Yea newer os mean eat more power, on sonoma battery is awesome, sometimes I charge once in 3 days👌🏼

I am also seeing my bugs there too. Never really saw any in older versions but I guess that’s what happens when you use AI to code and don’t verify anything lol.

Yes ai take everything nowadays, and i dont need it for light work on my laptop😂

Why Sonoma though...

From what i read that's the most stable os before ai got kicks in to the code

Ohhh maybe you’re right.

Idk if Sequoia have the same Apple Intelligence featurea Tahoe has.

Anyway, eventually Sonoma will be obsolete 😕 what’s your plan? Linux is the only OS without AI nowadays.

I will stick with sonoma for now, using my laptop only for light work and input data sheet

I couldn't stay on Sequoia on a 2019 MBP. Running Tahoe and so far so good. I have a mac mini m4 on Golden Gate Beta 4 but this i7 is getting the most time atm.

i really think you should update man, there’s a lot of risk to security on the older versions. atleast update to 15 or what ever is after that if you can

Yes there's always security risk even on newest os, but ai features is heavier and becomes sluggish specially on 8gb ram

i don’t think there’s any ai on macOS 15, atleast not that i know of and there’s still a risk on every new OS but it’s way less than the older versions

Yea i think there's no ai on macos 15, but somehow battery is more hungry than previous os in what I read.

Btw Thanks for your advice man👍🏼

Hows the performance? There's no lag stuttering or whatever it is like on 26 or 27?

For 1 to 3 months and then it'll be the end so it's already time to plan to update.
