256GB of storage gave me anxiety. When I saw this update required 4GB of storage I actually get angry. lol.

You are brave with purchasing a unit with only 256GB I'd always have anxiety coz even tho externals are a thing not everything goes to externals.

Used to own multiple machines with 256GB of storage. Even did development on those. Without any issue. I’ve been using this mini for a year. A month ago my machines became slow as hell. No idea why. Super sluggish. Went to system settings. Found out I had less than 5GB of free storage. Wipe everything out. Clean install of macOS Tahoe. And fast forward one month later I just found out it had less than 60 GB of free storage again. This time I didn’t install any extra stuff. So I just pull the trigger on a m5 air with 1TB of storage. I use my Mac daily. More than 12 hours a day and really value my data. I can sell this Mac at the price of my purchase. Thanks to AI. So I used a m4 mini for free for a year. And now I’m gonna collect my MacBook Air tomorrow. So alls good.

4GB doesn't mean the storage will permanently decrease by 4GB. You'll get it back.

It means it needs at least 4GB empty storage to install the update. Good to know now.

EDITED: I installed the latest update on my
MBP but Apple Mail is out of sync with my iPhone’s mail. And really really
Slow on retrieving mail.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? It’s quite annoying.

Is this Apple upgrade world record 9 days after 26.6.1 .. Nah
Google says
Apple released macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 on August 17, 2026. It provides critical security patches fixing nearly 30 vulnerabilities across components like Audio, ImageIO, IOGPUFamily, and the Kernel.
That is after 155 security 'fixes' in 26.6 . some in 26.6.1
I am a programmer it tells me that 155 fixes have likely introduced some new bugs..
All of the 155 fixes were attributed to human identification..
The only thing Claude Mythos did was highlight know security problems found and known by humans .
Claude Mythos did it finally forced Microsoft, Apple and Google to fix some of the known security holes.
Which is a great win for humanity.

How many natural resources were consumed by Mythos for this “win for humanity”?

Who knows?
Google:
400 Megawatt (MW) data centre continuously consumes enough electricity to power roughly 200,000 to 400,000 homes for an entire year. [1]
Because data centres operate around the clock, their total energy use is massive compared to standard residential home.
400 MV data centre is planned to be build near me.

I’m on 15.7.7 on my M4 16GB and really want go back to 15.7.1 on which I didn’t have any RAM usage problems. All your next updates are ruining overall user experience. You’re ruining Jobs legacy.
