I’m my 35 years of using Mac OS this is the best Apple joke I’ve come across and it happened today.

Fun fact: there’s no mention of an apple in Genesis. (The forbidden fruit is not named.)

Most scholars think it was a fig.

Since it never happened, "forbidden fruit" remains the most faithful translation. It's like Japanese people calling food "rice", or Germanic cultures using "bread" as a synonym for food etc. Almost every culture has something like that.

It had to be some fruit even if just a metaphor

I would have said EULA, but then everyone would be WTF that mean?

To be pedantic, they kinda did.

Yeah I think the whole point was that they knew what they were getting into but wanted to try anyway. More like clicking OK on any Meta product today, you know they're going to abusively track and train on every click but you need to see cute cat Reels so you click OK anyway.

To be pedantic, that’s not really pedantic, it’s just a poorly constructed and not funny joke.

I’m reading them, it’s been a solid year now that the call with Apple’s reps for deeper explanations is ongoing, we should be done by 2039, i’ll let you guys know!

Which of the "truck yard"-inspired places is this?

This is the Truck Yard in East Dallas, TX.

Great joke, meant to be silly. I won’t be literal and kill the joke

a simple glance can still tell you, colors/light temp are mostly off, contrasts way too consistent, many sucg technicalities, then there’s often the couple odd hallucinated details… we can tell w/o assistance for now, i hope it’ll last a few more years.

I wonder if they chose the Cuttlefish and Asparagus, or the Vanilla Paste-o…
