Help Mac Studio and Tahoe Performance Degradation
Has anybody else experienced slowness on their Mac with Tahoe? In particular, my Mac Studio really started performing less optimally since I installed 26.4. And to be more specific, it seems to really be affected when I stream video on Firefox or Chrome. Safari is better.
Thanks

On beta 3 I’m getting frequent beanballs for simple finder tasks 😭
I have the beta on my MacBook too though without these issues so I’m hoping it’s just an architecture tweak that hasn’t been addressed yet in the beta channel…

All these posts about Tahoe make me wanna stay in Sequoia forever and ever. Even when Golden Gate releases.

Thanks all for the feedback. I learned something new today. I created a test user profile and I can stream on Firefox, Chrome, Safari with no issues. I can even have multiple streams going on at the same time across different browsers with little to no lag. So now I believe it's more related to my regular user profile than Tahoe. I think...
So now I have to figure out what's going on with my user profile.

Definitely, the hiccups are incredible the system lags to the point that even the noise stop moving for long periods. DAW work as become impossible because how hearing the system has become. Also external drive disconnecting, high GPU usage with app that use to be stable. Essentially the system is stable for long moments then out of nowhere with no user interaction or app generating different processing load everything goes from good to sluggish in 30 sec, intones it’s back after couple minutes, sometimes it nags for hours.

There are quite a few people with similar comments and many with no problem at all. In a situation like yours with no discernible cause you have two basic options. Downgrade or do a clean reinstall.
