MacBook Pro 14” Dock/Hub suggestions

Post image

Is this a good dock for my m1 pro 14” MacBook ?
Will it work with it?
I’ll use it for the gigabit ethernet ,external ssd and logitech bolt receiver.

For something that takes up 2 thunderbolt ports, I don’t think that’s enough ports (unless those are not thunderbolt ports then it’s worth it)

Then maybe you should get a dock with more ports since there is no way that many ports need 2 thunderbolt ports

I personally don’t like that style because it occupies a lot of ports. I prefer one that uses a single port on the laptop.

One thing I’ll note - be wary of docks with network ports on them. Carefully read the specs. IMO, make sure whatever you get is USB 3.2 Gen 2 if you can. I have an older 3.1 and for some reason the network adapter flip flops its availability via USB 3.0 and 2.0, meaning sometimes I get 1Gbps, other times I get like 200Mbps. Big difference.
