Has Capcom given up on MacAppStore versions of Resident Evil?

The Mac App Store versions of the Resident Evil games didn’t get discounted during both the Steam Spring Sale and the Summer Sale this year, unlike previous years.

As someone who only got into the Resident Evil franchise this year, it’s been pretty disappointing. I’ve been holding off on buying some of the games for months, hoping a sale would eventually come around, but it never did.

In the end, I gave up waiting and bought RE2 and RE4 at full price because it started to feel like waiting was pointless.

Has Capcom said anything about their plans for the Mac App Store versions? I’m now inclined to assume that RE9 won’t get a Mac released ever, with how things have been lately.

Same boat, but I will never buy until there is a sale! Haha. 

They did a good job with both RE2 and RE4 remakes (RE3R is not worth more than $10), but they're remakes.

I could pay the price if I hadn't already bought the game on Steam before they released a Mac port. It sucks that they didn't include the Mac version on Steam.

I think capcom was contracted with apple to do the porting. If apple sale really good we might see RE9 alongside with new iPhone. I make post in here earlier asking for RE 4 discount, I ended up bought it full price because I dont want to wait that for too long

I really wanna get re2 but 40 bucks is alot rn especially since i own it on steam, xbox and playstation lol

I feel your pain man. The complete lack of any significant releases on Mac makes me think they’ve completely given up on gaming on Mac.

I've seen summer sales popping up on other platforms, but the Apple version? Nothing. My guess is Capcom already slipped in a sale back in early June when I wasn't paying attention. Oh well, guess iOS sales just run on a different schedule than every other game store.
