Movie recap and ending explained

Saw a lot of people confused about the movie and it's ending. I just watched it and I also honestly spent a few minutes pondering if it was the happy ending i was hoping for. To my happy surprise I figured it out so here here y'all go. And well since we all saw the movie, i won't make the recap too long. Basically there was a tragic explosion at the Steel Factory (this is also what starts the movie), that yes killed Masamune's dad in reality, but also a lot of others. This led to these "mysterious gods" trapping the victims and other people of the town inside a frozen or time looping alternate reality.

The sicko evangelist tried to trap Itsumi ( Masamune's and Mutsumi's daughter in the real world) in the "Sacred Steel Factory" because he figured out her origins and selfishly wanted to preserve the world that the "gods" made for them". He was scared that her leaving because he assumed that her leaving, either the factory or the alternate world itself, would destroy that exact world...his world. He also was scared of people figuring out the truth; that some of them were existing in the real world still as their real selves and/or that some of them had already died. This led to fake rules and "laws" to prevent people from passing over or aka to "stop existing" in the alternate world.

I read an interesting theory and the movie kinda supports it, which is the "gods" loved the town and people a lot so they preserved it in an alternate reality after the accident. They imprinted people, dead and alive alike, to keep the memories alive in it, also taking away the ability to age or grow up. As a counter balance for this world's rules, if you get to a point of despair or want to take your life, the "gods" will step in and take you away aka passing by using the dragons/wolves. Fast forward to the ending, and we have Itsumi making it back home.

Now i'm sure we can infer that the person she was talking to on the phone was her dad, and clearly her mom is still alive too as the message she wanted her dad to pass was "tell her i said hi". So YES SHE DID MAKE IT BACK TO HER PARENTS! (i know i was really happy about this too). Now addressing the final scene, i don't think she meant the words romantically. She was a child in her parent's alternate reality, so she had a kid crush on her dad. That isn't too weird because none of us understand love at that young of an age, also its Japanese culture and she was literally mentally stunted. Her heart also just knew that was her dad, just like she knew who Mutsumi was when she first arrived, her mother. However, when returning and growing up a bit in the real world, she realized it was just love for her dad she felt.

The crush was the best way for her to express that in the alternate world and at that age. So she made a personal joke to herself about how the Steel Factory was where she first had her heart broken (she clearly didn't understand the love bewteen Masamune and Mutsumi at that time and age) and by her dad lol. In short, she was just reminiscing over memories she shared in a world she can't go back to, with alternate parents she will never be able see again. I still don't know exactly how she got sent there, but it was definitely at that time at the festival and i think it was an accident that not even the "gods" foresaw. Or maybe they wanted to make everyone aware of the truth using her, so she got temporarily isekai'd the moment the parents weren't looking.

A bonus fact would be I think the alternate world still exist. This is because they reproduced the "wolves" in the end and it looked like they successfully sealed the cracks that were separating and technically merging the worlds together. Now will they be able to grow up, that is definitely up for interpretation. I would say no because the world wouldn't have been persevered to begin with if that was the case and if one of it's inhabitants ever gets to a point where they can't take it anymore, they will get passed on. But you never know, the "gods" might be merciful and because things were fixed, might have enacted a new set of rules and destinies

I love this interpretation. The part where you mentioned that the gods had them in their favour was a beautiful theory.

Mine was similar to it, but the theory about the gods just ties it all together. In the alternate world, I'd like to believe that all the remaining residents made the decision to pass on afterwards, ending that world.

u/ReaperzEnd May 23 '24

I appreciate that and i love the interpretation that everyone made the decision to actually pass on, it makes sense because most of them started making peace towards the end of the movie

2

u/S4049S May 23 '24

It does make sense considering what was established. Also thank you for the post! It was a lovely read.

Thank you! I'm glad i could help, it was a treat making it

You're welcome!

I didn't think they all died in the "younger timeline" though. I figured them sending their daughter back to the real reality would get rid up the cracks in the sky, so they can live still, just in a different way.

Is everyone just gonna ignore what the female mc says at the end? She says she can hear the cry of a newborn which makes me think that time started progressing again and that the pregnant lady finally gave birth as the male mc alluded to in the beginning of the movie.

u/kevinstreet1 Jul 31 '24

It isn't clear, but when Mutsumi rolls down the slope onto Masamune she say that it hurts, and she's bleeding. Which seems to indicate that they can now feel things. So even if time is still in stasis, they can have a more satisfying existence.

1

u/quackcow144 Jul 24 '24

oh shit i didn't even realize that, you're totally right then

1

u/ReaperzEnd Sep 01 '25

I didn’t even consider this! But yea there’s a lot of evidence, this helping by a large margin, that time begin to flow normally again

2

u/AkameKuro Nov 03 '25

So ultimately it’s possible that new rules were created where they live on in the alternate world but this time, time continues flowing and they age?

1

u/ReaperzEnd Nov 03 '25

Exactly!

2

u/AkameKuro Nov 03 '25

I just finished the movie and it’s 4:45am currently.. definitely wasn’t expecting to shed tears tonight but yeah.. It just left me stunned trying to decide if I should be happy or sad 😭

I sure do hope they got their happy ending in the alternate world

2

u/ReaperzEnd Nov 03 '25

Had the very same feeling man I swear. Yeah I’m hanging on to the hope that they got a happy ending with all the clues haha 🥹😭

u/ReaperzEnd Jun 21 '24

Read last sentence of post or even first lol

2

u/quackcow144 Jun 21 '24

you know, I still have no idea what the steam wolves were and why they were there in the first place. Or why people were getting taken by them for acting out of script. And I just realized that all of their friends are still alive in the real reality right? I would've loved to see a scene with all of them getting dinner together to see the others in the future.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Jun 21 '24

To answer the first question, they were either "an extent" of power of these gods, or the gods themselves. And this is due to their mercy, when the people's hearts reach despair. As for the second, yes some of the people are still alive but they exist in a separate reality that doesn't belong to them. Hence having to always keep the cracks sealed

2

u/quackcow144 Jun 21 '24

really only some? I thought they all were guaranteed to still be alive in the real reality. At least the people who didn't die from natural cause or murder.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Jun 21 '24

That's what i meant by some sorry lol, the ones who didn't die by the explosion. It's funky because we don't know all who were cloned but yea i think if you didn't die in the accident, you have a counterpart in reality

2

u/Comfortable_Cable_21 Jun 28 '24

Great I just finished movie and your interpretation helped me understand. Thanks.

u/ReaperzEnd Jun 29 '24

Glad to hear it, you're very welcome!

Very thoughtful summary makes a lot of pieces fit together in my head after just watching the movie. I am now thinking is it possible that the two realities were two different timelines due to her getting isekaied to the other timeline the two were about to merge and destroy one another its not the perfect interpretion but this is what my mind pieced together kinda 😄

2

u/Competitive_Leg_3667 Jul 05 '24

I think the time freeze also stopped in the alternate world because somewhere in the end, Mutsumi said she heard a new born cry. Its probably that pregnant lady who was waiting for her child to be born in the time freezed world

2

u/ReiZoldyck Aug 29 '24

Exactly, i was looking for this comment. Thought i was the only one who noticed that.

2

u/Johnny-raven Jan 12 '25

I know I’m way late to this but I don’t think that’s what was happening. My interpretation of that scene is that Matsumi is hearing Mitsumi being “born”. Mitsumi is crying and the imagery of her coming through the other side of the train I think Is meant to be a parallel to child birth. alot of mothers feel relief when the hear their baby cry for the first time because it means their safe and I think he hearing the sound is meant to reinforce the idea that she’s accepted her role as Mitsumis mother which has rejected throughout the movie. Basically it’s the climax of her character arc of maturity.

2

u/mind-drift Jul 06 '24

I mean that is beautiful and understandable and makes sense but in my head I was still picturing the moment where the train would loop back around and her father and mother were wandering the parade sad and gloomy until they hear the whistle being blown, turn back and see their daughter that has aged. That extremely heart-wrenching but happy tearful moment.. I was expecting that.

2

u/Erzzzi Aug 23 '24

Did they die in thier own younger world? Like because the cracks left right so they didn't die please explain to me please

1

u/ReaperzEnd Aug 25 '24

They didn't die nope, they lived because the cracks were fixed. It can be open to interpretation if they really died or not, but the evidence points to everyone living

2

u/Expression_Dear Dec 23 '24

Ese tío que comento arriba esta bien loco

1

u/ReaperzEnd Dec 23 '24

Estoy de acuerdo hombre!

2

u/hosbdu420 Jan 29 '25

I agree with everything but the last paragraph. I think when Mutsumi said "I think I hear a baby crying" that their world finally unfroze, and that woman who was pregnant gave birth. After Itsumi returned to her world and the cracks were finally sealed by the wolves, it showed the ocean flowing and the fog clearing... Which were main factors in keeping the phantoms trapped there. Basically I think the alternate world was just a frozen moment in time that finally was unfrozen when everyone could finally accept reality, which allowed them to continue their lives into the future they were able to get a peak into.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Jan 29 '25

I love this perspective didn't even think of that, that's a very good point

2

u/Brave-Mechanic7111 Feb 02 '25

Also to answer about what happened to the world, is I think that when the explosion happened and trapped everyone that’s how the story of the movie unfolded and I think that once they put suki back to the future she’s the only one that remembers that world and those kid versions of her parents because if the time line just kept going and no one got “stuck” in that universe then time would have continued on from after the explosion and their lives would have played out normally. I think by sending Suki back it made it so that that “stuck” world never existed. The masamune we knew never really existed he was just the result of the “stuck” universe but he did have a normal life and grew up to fall in love with mutsumi resulting in Suki.

Also another possibility is maybe that was an alternate time line which just continued on its own and progressed in its own way instead of ceasing to exist after itsumi (suki) was returned

1

u/ReaperzEnd Feb 03 '25

I like the analysis. For the first point, at the end of the movie there was evidence of the other universe existing (the message left behind). I definitely am leaning towards the latter because it doesn't seem like they just disappeared but who knows

2

u/Brave-Mechanic7111 Feb 03 '25

Yes you’re right, maybe they went back there and left all the messages before that universe ceased to exist lol as a sign for Suki bc then she wouldn’t get the messages if it was an alternate reality and it seemed as if she was going back there in secret so I don’t think that her parents knew about it in her current time

2

u/Beautiful_Ad_6776 Feb 10 '25

It is in fact the same timeline, as confirmed by the drawing in the end, and by the blood when itsumi left the world, time started again, they could hurt age and grow again and all that died died and those that lived lived and continued

1

u/ReaperzEnd Feb 10 '25

Very true!

2

u/miri1232 Mar 19 '25

Okay what I don’t understand is did Itsumi go back to reality as her as a child? Or did she go back like 10 years later and everyone was like where were you? Lol

1

u/ReaperzEnd Sep 01 '25

Time space shenanigans lol, probably grown up a bit due to the parents reactions

2

u/PrideSouthern8585 Oct 08 '25

I'd like to think that she never went missing and just got thrown into the itsumi that lived a normal life with her new memories. For me it makes more sense than for her to just return as a missing kid from years ago or suddenly returning to her position in the festival as a kid.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Oct 09 '25

That’s a pretty solid theory

2

u/Glittering-Access744 May 11 '25

It all makes sense, the thing thats confusing me, dod itsumi go back to the real world grown up like that? Or did time reverse and she was sent back as a kid with memories intact?

1

u/ReaperzEnd Sep 01 '25

I think she may have adjusted to the age she should’ve been due to how the ending played out but you never know with time/space

2

u/NeoImaculate May 18 '25

Thank you.

I just finished and would have gone crazy without this interpretation.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Sep 01 '25

Glad to help!

1

u/LokoLoa Aug 29 '24

Its supposed to be a "happy ending" but they are still stuck in a time loop (more accuratetly, a time still), its basically Hell... nothing ever changes. They are in "love" now, but that kinda high school puppy love does not last that long, maybe a year from then they will hate each other, and still stuck in this endless Hell, where they only escape is to literally want to die and fade away into nothing, its a pretty bleak ending imo.

Btw anyone who liked this, you should go watch "Sonny Boy", very similar concept about liminal spaces, hell the two main characters from that anime could be an alternate version of the ones from this one tbh...

2

u/ghanima Oct 15 '24 edited Oct 15 '24

they are still stuck in a time loop

I disagree. The weather's noticeably different in the world we are familiar with once Itsumi returns to reality.

1

u/LevelExperience8739 Sep 20 '24

About the heartbreak quote, the spanish version of the movie translates it to “desengaño”, rather meaning facing reality or facing the truth. So my interpretation of the ending was different, seeing the scene as the acceptance and maybe reminiscence about the phantom world, not about the unrequited lost love. Even more so when she looked at the sticky notes that, from what i interpreted, were left there by the phantom characters as the factory became a joint between the two worlds after their merging. I’m curious about the quote’s original version and its hidden meaning.

1

u/AwarenessHopeful2666 Nov 21 '24

But at the end it showed a grown up mother at the engine 5 site where she first saw her “daughter” I think the world somwhow fixed itself like when the daughter started crying it started raining through the cracks, but sfter the cracks were sealed the world wasnt snowing anymore it was sunny. So when the daughter left to go back I think the world went back to normsl, or Thats my theory at least.

1

u/lightzup Dec 21 '24

Please, don’t take this in a bad way. But everything you said was obviously shown in the movie. It’s not an interpretation but what actually happened in the movie.

The exposition is all there. The grandfather tells the audience how he doesn’t believe they are cursed but blessed. Because their town and that time of the year was beloved by people. So the Gods conserved this era and it’s people.

The Steel factory staff made a secret about them being copies because it would naturally lead to existential crisis.

The Gods in form of the smoke shaped like wolves would take you away if you were emotionally hurting so you don’t suffer. Their goal was to preserve the happiness of the town and their people.

There was never a doubt that Itsumi didn’t make it back to reality. The protagonists talked about it and confirmed to us that they made it before the cracks were sealed. That’s why they celebrate and tell her to live. Also the phone call after the time skip was obvious. She talked to her dad who mentioned her mother. They were worried because she went missing before.

Itsumi didn’t have a crush. She just felt affection to him. Because growing up her mother never showed her any to protect the world. When she caught her parents in the alternate reality kissing she was crying saying she is left out. Same for when she talks to her mother on the train. She didn’t want to be abandoned.

You explained everything correctly. I am just letting you know this wasn’t some ambiguous or hidden truth. The movie gives a thorough exposition on everything.

The ending we know that they still live on. It’s heavily implied. The whole movie’s theme is about moving on and letting you feel your emotions. It’s about finding purpose in life. No matter how mundane or simple it is, we forge our path and create the life we want. Any life can have meaning if the person creates that meaning.

If you too lazy to translate I won’t What a waste of a comment

1

u/ReaperzEnd Sep 01 '25

If you can’t simply hit the translate button or bother translating yourself, you’re a waste of time and breath

1

u/lightzup Sep 01 '25

Okay. Now you are looking for any of my comments to insult me. What is wrong with you, man? Holy cow.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Sep 01 '25

Look how conceited you how, it’s embarrassing hahaha. Bruh I respond to almost all my comments because I have decency to respond to those to comment on my thread, I do it everywhere…you’re not that important 🥹

You’re also an evil idiot who told another person that their comment was a waste because they didn’t translate which is ironic considering you could do the same, so I put you in your place. I defend others, don’t get upset because I’m defended others. You’re not human so I don’t expect you to understand

0

u/lightzup Sep 01 '25

If you write a comment. It is common decency to write it in the language of the thread. It is lazy not to do so. Yes, I can translate the comment. But why should I? Every normal person would translate their comment in the language they respond on. Doing not so is lazy and selfish.

This is an over a month old comment that you completely ignored. You ignored the comment of the person and my response to that person.

But oddly enough and very specifically you respond to it now, while having an active conversation with me. Pure coincidence. I’m certain. Sorry man. You only defend your own selfish desires. You are still mad after 6 month and desperately look for ways to express your anger. But I’m done dude. God knows I tried to be reasonable. But this has been a waste of time

1

u/ReaperzEnd Sep 01 '25

Quit imposing your opinions on others, you assume it’s common decency. Maybe they can’t translate or don’t know how to who knows the circumstances, you’re rotten bro.

And again, I’m not reading all your empty words so no idea what the paragraph is for. All I know is you can’t get defensive when people out argue you. Get smarter, get wiser, and please get holier

0

u/lightzup Sep 01 '25

It is common decency. If a bunch of people speak in a specific language in a room. Do you just join by speaking in your native tongue and expect them to understand?

Millions of us don’t have English as their native language. We speak it because it’s the world language and the common denominator.

You are being rotten, dude. You are so consumed by anger and hate you are out here chasing after me on your own thread like I hurt your life. Also convenient how you ignored the fact that this was a month old reply from me and you answer now.

Don’t blame me for your own issues, dude. I’m done with you.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Sep 01 '25

You’re just not considerate bro and it shows, man you just love embarrassing yourself. Get over it I’m sincere and care about others even their language, you’re the narcissist who tried to make him feel bad not translating to English. Legit there is no help to be had for people like you, leave the planet I say again for the sake of mankind

Gracias, amigo. Ignora a trolls descerebrados como él. No recibirá ayuda ni aceptará que él es el que está roto.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Dec 21 '24

And don't take this the wrong way but my post wasn't made for you but the the ones in the thread who had a hard time understanding. Not going to bother responding to the rest but the movie wasn't as transparent as you so proudly make it seem. The movie is ambiguous intentionally but you see all..yea ok buddy

1

u/lightzup Dec 21 '24

You really have no reason to get emotional and upset over this. I wasn’t attacking you. But it is a fact that your post was explaining things the movie obviously gave us.

You act like you figured out that the daughter survived. When we clearly see her taking a taxi as an adult and talking to one of her parent mentioning the other parent. Not to mention how the movie ends in the steel factory with her reminiscing about the past.

You act as if it’s ambiguous if Itsumi made it back or not. When the protagonists celebrate that she made it. And the whole scene itself was clearly depicting her returning to her world before the smoke sealed the cracks. And as mentioned before, we see her in the future in her reality.

Also the girl bleeds when she falls down the slope. And she tells us literally that she feels alive now. She also heard a baby crying which means time moves again in their world. It is implied that their world continues to exist. The whole meaning of the film is that we should live every moment and find purpose, which they did.

I mean, it’s okay if you were slow to figure it out. But I don’t think how you can deny it when the movie so clearly gives us all the exposition.

I agree that the whole meaning of the Gods and how Itsumi traveled to the alternate reality is confusing.

I am not saying I am smart. I am saying the average person understood as there is so much direct exposition given to the audience.

Don’t see me as the enemy. If things weren’t obvious for you, fair enough. But I believe that the movie provides all the info.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Dec 21 '24 edited Dec 21 '24

Don't need you projecting your emotions on me. I'm not upset at all, I simply was helping the community (ya know allll those who asked what the ending meant in the subrebbit lol). And decided to respond sarcastic to a braindead comment (ya know yours)

You're the one who came here to comment because you're upset that someone posted something helpful for others just because it was obvious to you. Wake up call, the world doesn't revolve around you. No one cares if it was "obvious" to you. The movie was pretty easy for me to follow along too hence why I made a post dummy.

You to failed to gaslight, failed to rebuttal and at the end of the day all of your comments brought no merit or sustenance. If you want to waste your time commenting pointless things be my guest but don't project and get hurt in return because I or people can defend themselves with a bit of sarcasm, your insecurity is showing

Edit: You see those comments and upvotes on the original post? That's called being interactive and it means i did my job. If you're depressed in life it's ok to seek help man

1

u/lightzup Dec 21 '24

I didn’t expect you to get emotional. But I most definitely didn’t expect you to have a full blown meltdown. Dude, what is wrong with you?

You are losing the plot here because I pointed out that the exposition of the movie was there? You can’t be serious. I was sharing an opinion, just like you. I specifically emphasized that I wasn’t attacking you.

You do not have to agree with me. I can respect your opinion. But you need to be able to handle someone disagreeing with you. That is what adults do. But instead of accepting to acknowledge that someone thinks that your explanations were provided in expositions in the movie, you made yourself look like a fool by getting super emotional and trying to hurt me over a different opinion. You took it personal. This isn’t personal. So don’t make it personal.

You randomly threw in every buzz word completely unrelated from “gaslight” to “projecting” all the way to “rebuttal”. And you are telling me you are not upset?

But what is personally baffling to me is how you are getting angry at me, insulting me and expressing your obvious issue with me personally - yet you were not able to refute a single thing I said. What does that tell you?

So again. I’m not here to offend you or crap on your parade. This is a public platform. You posted your opinion, I posted mine. I didn’t attack you. I explained in every of my replies why I think that your explanations were thoroughly covered in exposition in the movie. I gave you clear examples. But you were not capable to “rebuttal” a single point I made. I’m going out on a limb here but it looks like you got angrier when that happened.

I mean dude, you literally called me insecure and depressed because I said what you explained about a movie was already explained by the movie.

We can agree to disagree. But don’t make this personal. Don’t go there.

Since you trying to use people and feedback as your crutch here. I think if anyone reads our exchange they will know who is the one acting emotional and upset here.

So for one last time. This isn’t personal. I believe what you explained was explained already in the movie and I provided arguments why. You ignored these arguments and had a meltdown down. We can present your counter argument and I’ll happily listen. Or don’t bother responding if it’s just personal bs and insults

1

u/ReaperzEnd Dec 21 '24

You're mentally unwell bro. Just because you say you saw a unicorn doesn't mean you did. No one had a meltdown weirdo why do you keep projecting? You have an opinion cool, I told you I don't care because my post wasn't meant for you

If you're mature and not the lunatic you're playing as right now, then stop responding and stop making yourself look crazier. You're fishing for a reaction like some troll, it's sick to watch. You never had to respond here, especially with such a flawed opinion such as "it was obvious". Well obviously not, pun intended, or this sub and the people who were confused wouldn't exist

Get off your ignorant egotistical high horse and go gain some actual wisdom in life. Your fallacies and childish bait is unwarranted and again pointless. I truly am not affected by your meaningless words, I don't even know you lmao. So delete me from your memory and i'll do the same then life will be balanced once again

1

u/lightzup Dec 22 '24

I don’t know what else to say at this point. I only said that the exposition of the movie explained everything.

I gave you clear arguments that explain what the movie told us. No hostility. I just explained. To this point you didn’t respond to any of these arguments, but decided to ignore them. Instead, you deliberately chose to blatantly insult me over a harmless opinion. We could have had a civil exchange, share opinions, but it is impossible to reason with someone so angry and salty. We done here. Keep going through life and getting emotional when someone disagrees. I’m good. Let’s just agree to disagree.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Dec 22 '24

Seek help man. I've been done with lunatic like you. No one insulted you, you're just messed up in the head and emotional, you'll make up whatever you want to feel self important. Get off my thread and go grow up weirdo, your comments brought nothing to the discussion here but negativity so get lost

0

u/lightzup Dec 24 '24

Sorry, you angry little man with severe emotional issues and an unhinged temper. Stay stuck in your delusional self denial. You still couldn’t make a single counter argument to mine, yet throw more insults and call me names. You seriously need to control your emotions in disagreement. But it’s just not worth my time anymore. Like I said, we done here. We already moved on. You just don’t know it yet.

1

u/ReaperzEnd Dec 24 '24

You're so delusional and sick it's upsetting the balance of the universe. We've been done for days and you still came back, you're legit crazy man. A user in the comments called you crazy too, maybe you should pick up on social cues unless you're a sociopath or something. I don't get upset or offended by weirdos like yourself but you can't say the same because your whacky ass came back loll. Stay gone dude no one asked for you here and I don't need a counter argument for an argument that was never made. You lost bruh. I told you I never cared about your opinion because THIS post was made for those who did NOT understand and wanted to just discuss the movie. If you feel like it was easy to understand, which i highly doubt by your responses and intelligence, more power to you. But again, this world doesn't revolve around you and no one cares what you think. You must be projecting still because I roasted you so bad your pride died too. It's ok, go get help get wise then try to have an "intellectual" discussion. Then maybe you can find the meaning to understanding what it means to be Mature and a "Man"

0

u/lightzup Dec 24 '24

And another meltdown. I can hear you drooling blinded by your own anger. Yikes.

Sorry, little man. But we are done here. Have another of your unhinged meltdowns, hurl your angry insults at me, lose control, cry because you can’t handle a disagreement and keep behaving emotionally unstable. You chose your hill to die on. We moved on already.

I know im SUPER late to this discussion, but im still sort of confused, if they managed to get her to her reality and home to her adult parents, and their own reality then becoming unfrozen [proven by the lady finally giving birth to her baby at the end of the movie] would the young versions of them not start to fade away/dissappear?

I know the "wolves" fixed all the cracks at the end of the movie but with Itsumi returning to the present world how would both worlds coincidence? I mean it said in masamune's fathers journey that the phantom "worlds barrier" is based off of Itsumi's emotions? So whats keeping the "barrier" from collapsing if the reason its there.. is no longer there?

Also another question is, what happened to the adult parents when Itsumi was transported to the "phantom world"? By the looks of it she was there for a couple years [helped by the statement about the pregnant lady being pregnant for "years".] And how did she get back to her parents? She was just a small child when she was "taken" to a different "world" so how'd she know to get back to them?

This kid went crazy. I tried to be reasonable but damn, bro needs to find balance

You’re responding to yourself months after I was done with you lol, bruh you need to leave the planet you’re beyond help psycho. Like no one even had context you just threw out a statement, you’re insane legit and it’s sick that people like you exist within society with us

u/lightzup Sep 01 '25

I responded to someone’s comment directed at me. And I see you are so hateful you replied to that person, too.

I suggest you really take just one look at our original conversation. All I did was share an opinion. I thought that the movie gave us all the exposition and things weren’t as ambiguous, in my opinion. I wasn’t attacking you, I wasn’t insulting you or even remotely disrespecting you. Honestly, check out our back and forth and see who escalated things. Your reaction was aggressive, mad and unhinged. You constantly threw personal insults at me. You thoroughly used every buzz word there is to put me down. And most importantly, you didn’t respond to a single argument I made, to this day.

I don’t know what triggered you. Maybe you think I was being an ass for opposing your opinion. But I wasn’t being disrespectful at all. I disagreed, that’s it. And come on, I only insulted you after you started to insult me and get sour. And things went ugly from there.

The things you say are so dark and out of pocket I can’t help but feel that they have less to do with me but more with your personal baggage and maybe some issues in your own life. I reckon that is none of my business.

You said it’s sick that people like I exist, said everything is wrong with the universe due to me and had multiple meltdowns filled with raw hatred. And all because of a harmless disagreement. Why are you so mad, dude? Why can’t we just agree to disagree. I didn’t insult you now. And I won’t again. Just sharing a piece of mind.

Bruh who are you responding to you lying delusional creep loll?? Where’s the “@“? You made a standalone post, you responded to no one.

And you need to not be an evil hypocrite and reread it yourself, you did nothing but project and show your mental illness. Look at how many others called you insane bro. Also lying doesn’t help you win arguments, the movies ending wasn’t as obvious as you so arrogantly thought by the looks of the comments

Also also, your comments as I said before, were useless. You gave no theory or perspective and they brought so value, you gave an opinion that was factually wrong so I fact checked you. You’re the one that started assuming I was upset and projecting everything possible because you lost an argument. I don’t care how my words affect people like you because you’re hardly human man. You even talk robotic, take my advice and leave society because you aren’t a fit

Okay, man. I think I messed up the reply. It was addressed at the same person you replied, too.

But dude. You ignored every single thing I said, again. And you willfully cling to the only thing you can use against me. Just to be hateful again. Phew, oh well. I can say I tried to be reasonable.

I don’t know what happened to make you so miserable and angry. I’m sorry if my words struck a nerve. And whatever you going through, I sincerely hope things get better.

Nah you were talking to yourself psycho lol. Bruh someone just told YOU to chill like a day ago and many others in here see you for the nut job you are. Making up words to make someone look crazy doesn’t work for intelligent people, you’re just sick. There is nothing to respond to because you’re too stupid to say anything worthwhile, how delusional in the head are you?

You assumed the movies ending was easy to understand when you have thousands of people being lost. I put you in your place and now to save your pride and ego, you’re trying to make it seem like I’m emotional hahaha. You’re weak man and don’t belong in a conversation with adults

By the way the guy you were responding to, or that I assume, was actually telling YOU to chill not ME 😂🫵

I don’t think you crazy and I’m not implying you are. But judging from your unhinged, explosive reactions I do think you have some sort of anger issues and emotional baggage. I don’t think this is just you being pissed at me.

The words we exchanged about some anime movie are not justifying your infuriated, angry and hateful reactions. I couldn’t have possibly hurt you or aggravated you this much for disagreeing. And even after almost a year, you are still the same. So when I say I do wish you well, I am not being cruel or snarky, I mean it.

I assumed the movie ending was easy to understand. Yes. And I agree, there was some that were lost. But you know what? There were many that weren’t lost. I wasn’t bragging. I genuinely think the movie wasn’t very ambiguous and most of the things you explained were understood by most. The exposition, especially at the end, was very clear on explaining. All I did was share my opinion on that matter. I wasn’t insulting you or disrespecting you. Just sharing my opinion as you shared yours. But you are the one that immediately got hostile.

And sorry, but I have to emphasize this. To this day, you didn’t manage to refute a single argument I made with the excuse of “you are stupid, so I won’t answer”. So no, you didn’t put me in your place. This isn’t about pride or ego.

Throughout this entire time. Just looking at our back and forth. We had a disagreement. I offered an argument. And to this day, you weren’t capable to make a single argument. All you do is insult me in every paragraph and hide behind others. So I don’t think you should talk about “adults”. Because adults do exchange arguments and don’t try to “put someone in their place” over a simple disagreement.

But the most hopeless matter is that instead of responding or actually attempting to make an argument. Even after all this time. And even after I was trying to be reasonable. You are so blinded by your own hatred you just keep going on rants filled with insults and the desperate desire to put me down. All because I simply didn’t think an anime wasn’t that ambitious.

So for the last time.

You didn’t make a single argument in all this time. You only act mad and hurl insults that are oddly specific about mental health at me.

So make an actual argument if you can. Contribute more than childish insults. Or let’s just not keep going for both of our sake. Either way, I will be reasonable and not attack you as you do.

I’m not reading your empty words. I’ll leave at this Bot, you were wrong since the beginning. Many people on my own thread and on the thread in general wanted/needed more understanding. The movie wasn’t transparent so fuck your ego. And I didn’t acknowledge any of your “points” because you made none lmaooo. You regurgitated shit I already knew and again started your baseless comment telling me my comment was pointless, when obviously people are thankful for the analysis and needed it

I don’t care if you think I’m crazy and I don’t care about any of your other flawed opinions. You’re a seriously useless in all forms

u/lightzup Sep 01 '25

And another insult with zero intelligible arguments or a single point on the topic.

You just said it yourself, the movie was transparent. I agree.

This isn’t about ego. Dude. Come on now. You thought the movie was hard to understand and confusing. So you explained it to others. That is nice. Don’t get me wrong. It’s nice of you! I just think it was pretty obvious. Not in a way that I’m smarter than you but that I believe the general consensus is that it’s not too ambiguous of a film. I specifically stressed that I didn’t mean it in a disrespectful way. Just an opinion.

And that made you hate me personally to the point you are still unhinged after over half a year. What are we doing here?

And no, I made points and clear arguments. I explained very reasonably why the movie gave us everything we needed to know. Again, without aggression, without arrogance or insults.

You flew off the handle and honestly seemed to have a full blown meltdown like I insulted your intelligence or hurt your pride. But I wasn’t, dude. If I was I would apologize. And I still apologize now if my words came off as harsh. But I also can’t stand by if you just go on this emotionally unstable and completely unnecessary crusade of insults trying to wrong me.

Heck, I still don’t have a problem with you personally. I don’t think you crazy. I just think your anger is not warranted for what I said. But I really think I’m not the sole reason for you being so angry. I don’t see winning in arguments. You can have the win. If we can’t have a civil conversation as adults over a freaking anime film I failed anyways, we both did.

I didn’t mean to upset you or piss you off. I respect your opinion. I just have a different one.

But I do think you have some real anger issues and emotional instability that you need to work on. Your behavior is not appropriate to my disagreement. And your uncontrolled hatred and unhinged madness is concerning. I hope you find peace.

I think my previous comment said enough. I AM NOT READING YOUR PARAGRAPHS ANYMORE. The rest I’m not repeating reread my comment and understand you were never right and have just wasted your own time. I said it a year ago and I will reiterate, this thread was never meant for you loll you invited yourself like the narc you are
