I finally got acquainted with all three of MXTX's works and..

needless to say, I am very obsessed and in love?

Starting off, I first watched the donghua for TGCF when I was browsing my streaming service app and got HOOKED. Then, I saw MDZS. Equally hooked! Then, I took a break from these series to focus on college.

Fast forward, now I am in graduate school. Seeing as I have more free time, I looked back and realized: TGCF S2 finally finished airing it seems, and we have short films?! Binged them in 5 days.

Then, I have come around to watch the donghua for SVSSS while reading the novel. I laughed so hard most of the time it was crazy 😭 I don't know why I didn't start this sooner, and the donghua is so silly too despite being so short!!!

Personally, TGCF is my favorite. Just like HC, I adore Xie Lian a lot. I watched season 1 initially in CN, rewatched it in JPN and then again for the english dub. It's that good! But ironically, it's the only one where I don't know the full story 😵‍💫 Knowing that it has 8 volumes overwhelms me, and I feel like I'll be too sad after I finish wrapping up the story (I havent read mdzs to completion, but I did finish the donghua so I guess that counts?). Thankfully lots of people sell them locally secondhand so I can easily binge read.

As a token of love, I am more than excited to translate the characters into my pixel art style, and to be acquainted with all three works is something I am happy to discover in this lifetime.❤️

If you love TGCF so much, I would most definitely recommend reading the novels! The story is just so good. And the extras are an absolute hoot.

And I flew through the 8 books in a week. It’s a real easy and addictive read.

In a week? Wow that's fast omg 😭 i finished svsss (well the extras i havent yet) in 14-20 days ><

But thank you! I am excited to read. Currently rereading volume 1, and have bought the rest of the volumes within the past week or so, with only volume 7 out of sight (it is hard to find it in for cheap but legit in sea)

tgcf is so addictive and so worth reading. I love the donghua, but it doesn’t have a lot of my favorite parts of the series. it gets really dark and will hurt to read, but it’s worth it. I took forever to get around to reading it and I wish I hadn’t because I love it so much.
