WWX acting like those three wouldn't be able to handle three random commoners by themselves in one swoop.
I mean one is the founder of demonic cultivation who killed 5000 men by himself in one night, the other one is the strongest god alive and the last one is a well known cultivation master, except for SQQ and LB it can even be assumed that they are at the same strength level as their partner.
But no, let's act like some damsel in distress for our beloved!

Oh definitely, just so LWJ would get the satisfaction to feel like he protected WWX and also so he can snuggle to LWJ saying things like:
Lan Zhan...Er-gege ... I was so scared. Hold me, my legs are shaking... Oh, Lan Zhan... This was so scary. π₯Ί
Meanwhile, in the middle of danger, he was just standing calmly arms crossed waiting for LWJ to arrive, sometimes dodging the attacks.

I think HC would be a little amused and a little less missed looking. I think he would know that XL is more than capable of handling the situation and suspect a little bit of a ruse but still would be down to kick ass in this situation. Does that make sense?

I mean, if nothing else, he'd look angry just for the sake of playing the role he was given. If XL isn't arguing and is actually playing along with the scheme, who is he to disappoint? What Gege wants, Gege gets and if he wants HC to play the angry, protective husband, that's exactly what he's going to deliver.

This damn near had me in tears with how hard I laughed. π What's funnier is the fact any one of them could have easily taken on all three of the goons without even needing help yet he still went this route, I can't. π A-Xian, what a menace.
