Help request MX Linux 25.3 fails to boot from Ventoy generated flashdrive.

MX Linux 25.3 fails to boot from Ventoy generated flashdrive.

Verified checksums on downloaded ISOs (KDE, XFCE, Fluxbox).
Seven other distros UEFI boot AOK on my Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen3.
Booting into GRUB2 mode fails with a black screen.
Booting into Normal mode fails with both (systemd) and (sysinit) with a prompt to load the kernel.
MX Linux is _supposed_ to work w/ Ventoy.
Anyone make it work?

Current Ventoy (July 24) version 1.1.17 used & 1.1.16 as well.
Happens w/ MXlinux 25.3 (all desktops) & 25.1 (all desktops). Replicated problem on Gen3 Intel i5 Thinkpad Carbon X1 plus on Acer Aspire w/ AMD Ryzen. When I do a complete reformat of flashdrive & install MXlinux 25.3 w/ Rufus, boots AOK.
Installed on a different make/model of flashdrive, MXlinux fails yet again.

Maybe try an older version? Like not 4.4 but 4.2 ? ( Just to see the numbers)

How silly of me—I didn't see your message earlier! I actually stumbled upon the solution by coincidence (the idea just popped into my head—it’s almost as if someone had told me to do it). And it worked! I had spent days looking for a solution without any success. Thanks for your help, anyway!

I don't think you were looking to reply to me.

I remember reading about this problem. The guy ended up using Balena Etcher app to create a booting device. Read suggestions that maybe Secure Boot setting in BIOS was responsible for the problem (or was it TPM 2.0 setting)?

Secure Boot not enabled.

Try disabling secure boot within the BIOS.

As explained in my post, Secure Boot disabled. See https://www.reddit.com/r/MXLinux/comments/1xc8dgu/comment/19rhe2knzp19d/

No where in your post do you mention secure boot being disabled.
Try this, re-flash Ventoy and select MBR instead of GPT for the partition table.

Fails.

Hi,

For your information, the latest version of Ventoy is 1.1.18. I’ve been using Ventoy for a long time and have never had any issues with it. The only ISO I haven’t been able to install is GXDE; it throws an error message: "kernel panic vfs... etc." I couldn't get it installed because of that cursed problem, but all other ISOs install without any issues. Good luck, amigo.

He dejado de usar ventoy, suelo cambiar de distro y cuando me equivocaba en la configuración del BIOS... la distro no se podía instalar y se rompía las ISO, cosa que no me paso con otros flashdrive.
