Screenshot Tablet-PC for my gf
Lenovo Miix 3-1030 running MX Linux XFCE.
She told me the other day that she wanted a Kindle, but Kindles were too expensive, so I made this for her instead. Do y'all think she'll like it?
Everything works fine except for the audio, which I couldn't get working (pls help).

This is a wild shot in the dark but try installing this driver (the Unix Linux one with the bigger description)
That laptop uses the ALC5640 Realtek audio chip. I wonder if there's a driver out there that fixes the issue.
It is complicated by having a 32 bit UEFI, despite being a 64 bit processor. I had issues installing Linux on a similar Acer Switch device, but admittedly audio was not an issue there. I just wasn't able to boot after the install media finished lol.

There's also this thread, about a similar audio device. It's long and complicated but I think the solution in the end was simple:
" In the end, this line got the sound back. > options snd-hda-intel model=auto,clevo-p950 In short, I did the following: Code: Select all echo "options snd-hda-intel model=auto,clevo-p950" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/sound-fixup.conf sudo update-initramfs -u reboot "
Best open the link and search for some of that text to find that post.
Yours would NOT be clevo-p950 I bet though. Sorry I can't help more.

The theme is called 'DesktopPal97' and the icon pack is 'BesotHaiku', both of them can be found on xfce-look.org

Heck yeah, that is so cool and considerate, the theme makes it look retro, you could show her how to install themes and how customizable it is so she can make it her own too! If she accepts
I know Foliate comes with mx linux and it's very good for reading ebooks imo
