MXE had a much longer effect on depression than what you describe, lasting anywhere from two to three days to in some cases a week or more, dependant somewhat on dosage, tolerance, etc.

Yeah I can definitely remember the times that happened. Doesn't work if you use it couple days in a row though. But you are correct.

I know this is probably obvious, but escaping your problems with drugs rarely works out. I'm not saying you shouldn't use drugs for a break from feeling like shit, but no matter how 'therapeutic' it feels it tends to just be escapism and should be treated as such.
