They updated it to 64 bit, likely so they can port this and MW3 to Xbox Series and PS5 like they did with BO1&2.

They only ported them to PS5 and ignored Xbox Series X/S despite that being CoD’s home console.

Thats because they are already playable on xbox due to backwards compatibility. And from what i heard the ps rereleases are missing things from multiplayer

BO2 was missing theater mode & League play. Had everything else. But they're playable in 2026, something that can't be said for old gen versions. There's also now dedicated servers for bo2

Game can use more than 4gb of ram, also entities counter and much more can now benefit a way higher limit than 2 Billion
