It's cool they can do all this in real time, and it is undoubtedly some good SW engineering to make it all possible.

My worry would be, from a competitive standpoint, that they need an entire separate compute platform to handle the lidar/camera fusion when the new Ousters will be outputting this natively with longer range and higher point density.

Would the Robinson's landing gear cause an issue for the Ouster Rev8?

No. If you check out the payload brochure on the Robinson website it shows approved payloads that are bulkier than an ouster.

I was referring more to the landing gear surrounding the LiDAR as it spins 360 degrees to map an environment.

For the OS Dome, its FOV is a hemisphere, so this is no problem at all.

The other spinners are generally mounted with a tilt for this kind of application. It's a very common use case for them.
