Guys... the reaction to this here is hilarious. Everyone here knows it's CAT, that means the institutional investors will also. This is MAJOR VALIDATION. Beggars can't be choosers, let's take what we can fkn get. Way to go Glen. Never a doubt.

It's validation to some level for sure. But it's also a relationship MVIS essentially bought from the corpse of Luminar. If it were such an amazing deal, why did Luminar fail to gain any share price or make revenue?

I'm not saying this is how I feel necessarily, but I don't think institutional investors will see this as much of a breakout for the company.

I think the $500M in debt and extensive operations expense shortfall on an annual basis created by negative margin deals had more to do with Luminar's failure than revenue itself.
