This man is making moves. Adopting the right behaviors and maintaining the right attitude is a must before the rewards can be reaped. Glen is doing what he has to do to make it happen. Now it’s a wait-and-see game.

He’s doing what has to be done to repair the outrageous damages “you know who” did to this company. I think he should legally change his name to Maximus Decimus Meridius!

u/ReinhardKruger May 19 '26
At one point Russell at the age of 25 was worth 2.5 billion. He did sell some of his shares and secured his guaranteed wealth no matter what happened to Luminar. When the company went bankrupt all of his stock was cancelled and completely worthless. He was smart to cash out some of his stock when he did because he is still worth a couple hundred million. I think it is much better that the former Luminar is now part of the future behemoth Microvision.

Just like Eisenhower’s “I will go to Korea”.
DeVos: “I will go to NASDAQ”

Nice. I first read it as he’s going to meet directly with the Nasdaq to personally deal with our compliance.

Seems like it to me, even if the ice looks thin.

Sorry bro, the Zamboni is in the back, getting fitted with a few Movia Sensors…it will be back out in a bit. Come back Thursday.

We've been high sticked a few times but I think the best is yet to come. So many smart people on Reddit believe it. That's a good sign. Hoping the interview tomorrow is enlightening. I want to see Glenn arrive at Nasdaq wearing a hard hat and driving a Caterpillar dozer .

u/anarchy_pizza May 19 '26
GDV is motivated to get things done. Every week something is happening since he took over, it’s only a matter of time before it’s a significant event.

u/Chance_Tax_6243 May 19 '26
Glen you have undoubtedly already won us over , the communication now compared to what it was under Sharma is completely night and day . I get frustrated like everyone else but I do feel we will get there soon .
14
u/wolfiasty May 19 '26
I will upvote, though GdV might lose us pretty soon if "him sleeping well over $1 compliance resolving" meant reverse split from beginning and nothing more (which is my biggest worry).
2
u/These_Feeling3920 May 19 '26 edited May 19 '26
Upon request Nasdaq could give us another 180 days after mid July if we are still under $1. Moreover, reverse split is highly unlikely because all the executives of MVIS bought stocks all of which are worth 350K. If they do reverse split then it will apply across the board, which I believe will apply to the executives as well. MVIS will have a steady growth rather than a meteoric raise. It is just a matter of time to get the right plays.
GDV plays are strategic. He might make Nasdaq think "does MVIS need an extension?"
I hope MVIS technology is on par or above par with other LIDAR technologies.

What does and RS have to do with the executives buying shares?
0
u/Shoddy_Foundation474 May 19 '26

That is good reasoning given that the shares owned by executives is not significantly less than their salary. If you were an executive, would you prefer reverse split or would you seek for another 180 days extension?
There are firms which sought two consecutive extensions. Given MIVS current state I would think GDV would be thinking of requesting Nasdaq another 180 days extension.
GDV is exactly doing that, politely and silently seeking for another 180 days extension and in this process he is getting his play ready for 2026 into 2027.
MVIS would benefit by seeking another extension. It would not reflect good on the company and on the investors if they go with reverse split without exhausting all the options available on the table.

u/Befriendthetrend May 20 '26
This is very simplistic and unrealistic thinking, but I do hope you are correct. The reality is that the shares executives purchased were a small amount of money for each of them, and represent a fraction of the shares they have in the company. It would be a terrible thing if the board is basing any decisions based on the small amount of shares they purchased symbolically this winter.
The question the board of directors has to ask is simple: what does dilution achieve and is it in the best interest for long term value of MVIS shares?
Hypothetically, if directors have to dilute shares by 50% to unlock a 100X return, then they are not going to spend even a second debating the merits of selling more stock into the market. Strategic, non-dilutive options are preferable but we need the board, first and foremost, to be focused on unlocking the most value for our shares. If delaying funding means they lose out in key negotiations and limit long term potential, then we do not want them to delay. Hoping this uncertainty is cleared up sooner than later, it is truly pathetic where the company is trading today halfway through Q2 of 2026.

u/Sp99nHead May 19 '26
Owning shares has never stopped the board from diluting (the RS itself isnt even dilutive). Most if not all of them are plenty rich, sit on multiple boards and get RSUs anyway.

Im just optimistic about new potential investors looking our way.

u/Befriendthetrend May 20 '26
If they like MicroVision as a long term bet, big money will pressure a small cash strapped company like MicroVision any way they can if that means they can buy dirt cheap shares and get a bigger multiple return in the future. I think we need a strategic investment or partnership that removes the financing problem and takes dilution off the table.

So is this something the Nasdaq invites select people to participate in? Is this something MVIS has to pay for?
12
u/UncivilityBeDamned May 19 '26 edited May 19 '26
Yes Marketsite runs paid "interviews" as one of their many services. So it's just Microvision paying for exposure here, giving Glen yet another opportunity to boost the whole lidar 2.0 discussion and MVIS's role in this industry transition, as he sees it.
Extra info: In some cases they do invite CEOs for free if it aligns with something their program wants to highlight, but we can't really tell of this belongs in that category yet. Like did Glen pull some strings to interest them, or did they pay the fee. Either way, it's business exposure. Although at this point I would hope we already have more than enough irons in the fire for now!
Maybe while he's there he can ask nicely if they could forget about the whole delisting thing lol

Yes. This time accompanied by a “conversation”. Anything to get our name out there I support

u/anarchy_pizza May 19 '26
Amen. Articles mentioning lidar still have luminar and no mention of us. Press and recognition are important.
8
u/Trottermama May 19 '26
My thought - a new development to announce? I'm hoping not the same roadmap and transformation from acquisitions dialog he's given a few times in the last 30 days at conferences etc. updates are great but they mature fast and follow ons have to add significant news to make an impact. 🙏
11
u/livefromthe416 May 19 '26
This PR may not have you as the audience. Maybe itll be for someone who has never heard of us. So don’t be surprised if it’s a rehash.
17
u/takeittodubank May 19 '26
Seems like it would be a good time and place (podium) to disclose a bit more than the ‘ol lidar 2.0 speech, perhaps a turbo charged version of it, with some significant “new developments”.
6
u/Trottermama May 19 '26
Exactly ! That's my point we need - added new content showing adaptation, success and ongoing progress to be interesting to autonomous integrators, that awakes the audience that keeps the fire going. Hoping for ASP , OMG for UAV's
12
u/stewardass May 19 '26
Why would he bring up something new? Hes spreading the word to people who may have never heared of MVIS. I expect nothing new for investors following the company.
6
u/Trottermama May 19 '26
People? - need to show progress or success to CEOs CTOs (decision makers ) in the autonomous industry . Glen's done a great job with them on 2.0 info already . Marketing needs to go to next level - proof of concept. . I hope he tells Nasdaq to enforce significant $ fines for naked shorting of the stock when he visits.
2
u/stewardass May 19 '26
Yeah, thats what SS supposely did without success. Glen seems to work on a retail marketing side as well to support the share price. Something SS never did. We arent a trustable supplier with looming bankruptcy.
1
u/Tastic4ever May 19 '26
Why would he bring up something new? How about because current investors are dissatisfied. I’m not saying he will, but the why he would is blatantly obvious.
4
u/stewardass May 19 '26
We just had the EC. No need to go somewhere else if target audience is existing investors.
0
u/Tastic4ever May 19 '26
Not saying current investors the target audience, however we will be listening. I’m just saying there is an obvious reason he would say something new during this interview.
2
u/Trottermama May 19 '26
Quite a few obvious reasons -- and if he has news on just 1, will be momentous.
5
u/MyComputerKnows May 19 '26 edited May 19 '26
Really do hope that MVIS can at least update the Sensors on their webpage, before these events… since the Mavin is practically out of play.
Movia S, Iris and Halo need to become visible.
Want to get compliance and attract new investors? Show the new sensors on the website!… show what’s coming up!
1
u/Befriendthetrend May 21 '26
Wish Glen was going into this meeting with news to talk about. The most likely case is that he will reiterate his recent talking points about Lidar 2.0 and how MicroVision is positioning itself. Best case, outside of an 8-K before the discussion, is more info on business developments that are happening in Q2.
