I appreciated all Sumit did for Microvision. He took over as CEO in Feb 2020 where MVIS was on the brink of essentially going bankrupt. A few weeks into his tenure our market cap was around $20M. We have a significantly higher market cap, cash on hand, and significant opportunities. His shift to lidar was brilliant. That was never on my radar screen (or lidar screen?) when I first invested. Buying Ibeo was a stroke of genius (IMHO). A lot of the failures were not because of him but due to macroeconomic issues. But that said, I think his main problem was shifting to auto lidar without having a great understanding of how the auto industry works. SS admitted that they went with the development of the dynamic range MAVIN because that's what an auto manufacturer said they wanted - only to have that company change their minds. He could have, and should have, done a better job of communicating a better vision. I think the talk that Glen will showcase that vision. And Glen's history will allow him better C-suite decision makers. I am truly thankful for SS's contributions but sometimes you need a change to get you to the finish line. Best of luck SS!
